Anim-Based Footsteps Timing.
I’m tired of the player animations being too fast for some reason and not matching the sound of their footsteps.
THINGS TO KNOW:
- Replacements like this works well: Raising The Bar: Redux Footsteps (I remade sound resolver, but I don’t think that problem is gone. Btw, sev, thanks.)
- It only works with playermodels that use standard model bones (i.e. "ValveBiped.Bip01_R_Foot" and "ValveBiped.Bip01_L_Foot") there’s no other way BECAUSE: firstly, most of the wonderful people who transform our game with various unique humanoid models use standardized bone names. Secondly, why should I be doing 1,000 or more lines of code? I’m lazy and it’s very difficult.
- IK foot – recommended to pair with this. (so that the foot has better contact with the nearest surface)
- anim_footsteps_enabled 1/0 – to enable/disable addon.
- anim_footsteps_offset [number] – vertical offest for check.
- anim_footsteps_delay [in seconds] – delay between steps.
