The Victorian Altis Mod

Altis and Stratis, two islands in the Mediterranean, have had a very rich history full of internal conflicts. With the wars of Italian unification behind it, the small kingdom finds itself facing internal and external crises between the Ottomans, English and the inhabitants of the island themselves. The decade opens with a silent roar: the Treaty of Agia Marina (1861). To avoid annihilation under the guns of the Royal Navy, King Agathon I of Altis cedes the island of Stratis to the British Empire. It is the beginning of the end of the "Pax Britannica" in the Mediterranean and the dawn of an era of instability.
