Description:

Hello, Drifters!

I’m coming back with a new mod – New Vanilla Clothing.

The mod is Ovehaul, because it adds new types of simple clothes and different types of rag clothes, and distributes all new clothes for different NPCs.

My goal was to make models using original meshes and textures, so that it would fit perfectly into the atmosphere and style of the game, and which felt like it could be in a vanilla game.

Known issues:

  • Some types of armor can pass through other armor during specific actions, such as running, stealth, and more;
  • Also, some types of armor can move strangely during animations.

All of these problems, for the most part, came from the original meshes.
Over time, I will try to fix this as I update the mod and add new content.

Community Part Map:

I have implemented Community Part Map in my mod.

It corrects the issues with the fact that in some places the character’s body can pass through the clothes.

So I added special versions [S] of bodywears and legwears that only Hivers and Skeletons can wear.

Items:

Simple Clothing:

Bodywears:

  • Outfit;
  • Short Outfit;
  • Sleeveless Outfit.

Legwears:

  • Pants;
  • Wide Pants;
  • Shorts;
  • Wide Shorts.

All simple clothing have Alternative versions [ALT] that are visually different.

Also, all simple clothing have dyed versions (Like "Dyed Robes" and stuff), Monk versions and color variations.

Rag Clothing:

Bodywears:

  • Arm Rags.

Legwears:

  • Leg Rags;
  • Rag Skirt.

All rag clothing have Alternative [ALT] and Other [L]and[N] versions that differ visually.

Also, all rag clothing have dyed and black versions, as well as Holy Servant versions.

FUNCTIONALLY, all clothes have a class of "clothes" (Wow…), and has minimum protection. (Due to the fact that I added the "part coverage" parameters.)
So it’s no different from other vanilla clothes that were found in the game.

VISUALLY, adds more variety to the game and saturates it, no matter which corner of the world you find yourself in.

Blueprints and Crafting:

All simple clothing can be bought at clothing stores.
The blueprints for them are sold in the same place.

The value of clothing and blueprints are low, and similar to the values of vanilla clothes.

After you research the blueprints of the dyed version of the clothes, a craft version with all the color variations of the same clothes will appear on the Research Bench.

Example: You have bought and studied the "Dyed Outfit" blueprint, after which you will be able to research the "Outfits [All colors] on the Research Bench."

All new Rag Clothing cannot be bought in clothing stores.
You can only buy the blueprints for them.

You can craft all new clothes on Clothing Bench.

In the world:

I can talk about it for a long time here, so I’m thinking of doing a separate discussion later.
Therefore, I will try to write briefly how and where the new clothes are distributed.

I added new clothes so that they didn’t break the balance of characters, squads, and factions, and I did it logically.

As an example: The Shek Scouts did not have clothing for the Body Slot, so I gave them Arm Rags.

The Swamp Ninja were given simple Dyed Cargopants and a Dyed Rag Shirt, so I gave them Dyed Pants and Dyed Arm Rags.

And stuff. I think you get it.

Simple Clothing:

Simple clothing can be found on ordinary citizens, farmers and merchants of the main factions (HN, UC, Sheks), as well as on Drifters, Wanderers, TechHunters and so on.

Thanks to the dyed versions of the clothing, they will be colored in the color assigned to the faction.

  • Holy Nation: They have red/orange and faded/dark shades of clothing, referring to their lore;
  • United Cities: They have a larger range of bright colors and ignoring dark ones, due to the fact that they are in a hot desert;
  • Shek Kingdom: They also have red and dark shades of clothing. (But because of the dyed versions of the clothing, it looks like it’s a Holy Nation. I’ll try to fix it in the future.)
  • Versions of the Monk’s clothing can be found on Rebirth Slaves, and on Priests of the Holy Nation.

Rag Clothing:
  • All variations of Rag Clothing can be found on slaves in the Stone Camps of UC and others;
  • All variations of Rag Clothing can be found among the Western Hive, Fogmans, Imperial Villagers, Outlaw Farmers, etc;
  • All variations of the Rag Clothing of the dyed version can be found on Hungry Bandits, etc;
  • All variations of the Holy Servant’s Rag Clothing can be found on the Holy Nation Outlaws;

And so on and so on…

Over time, this will all improve and new things will be added to specific NPCs.
If you want to help with this, there will be a separate discussion where you can leave your ideas, what to give and to whom, and in a way that is logical and harmonious.
(If there is no such discussion yet, it will appear soon.)

Conflicts with other mods and Game Import:

As with my previous mods, I think there should be no conflicts with other mods due to the unique names of items, etc.

About Game Import:

In order for new clothes to appear on NPCs, need Game Import.

All this will also appear in the vendors’ products after the assortment is updated.
