dustinguished bolt cutters
Simple mod that adds realistic functionality to bolt cutters.
- Sandbox options for enabling each functionality: cutting locks from garage doors, cutting locks from fence gates, cutting locks from security shutters, and destroying fence sections.
- Thematically, the locks are destroyed when cutting them, so no padlock items will drop. Additionally, the security shutters are "rolled up" after the cutting the lock, destroying them.
- How long it takes to perform each action is based on your Strength level. The base duration is controlled by a sandbox option, and represents how long it will take a Strength 0 character to accomplish it. There is no random chance involved, just time.
- Three tiers of Strength sandbox settings, to reflect how some things may be more difficult to cut that others. Note: existing saves using previous versions will use the ‘minimum strength’ setting as the medium difficulty, and then -/+ 2 for easy and hard difficulty.
- How much muscle strain is added also accounts for your Strength level. The base muscle strain also represents how much will be added for a Strength 0 character. (muscle strain values are multiplied by 2.5 on the Indie Stone side of things)
- Sandbox option for giving fence sections a chance to drop resources when destroyed. The resource dropped is based on the type of fence.
- Performing an action generates a small amount of Strength XP, and also Maintenance XP if the bolt cutters get damaged.
- Cutting a lock generates a small amount of noise to attract nearby zombies.
- Safe to add to, and remove from, existing saves.
