Embers of Empire – A Roman Restoration mod

Over the past view years since the release of Crusader Kings 3 there have been many mods aiming to bring the glory of Rome to the base game and I enjoyed playing a great many of them. However, none of them was exactly the type of restoration I wanted, so I decided to make my own.

Content Update 2.1

New buildings and decisions

  • Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus

  • Great Projects: Restore the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus ; Restore the Palatine Hill
  • Decision: Destroy the Church of Saint Peter

    New faith and tenets

  • New Faith: Orphism
  • New Tenets: Sophrosynia; Bacchanalia; Eleusinia
    Fixes

  • Fixed Germania not getting properly integrated when forming the Western Roman Empire
  • Fixed Dacia not getting properly integrated when forming the Western Roman Empire

    I am planning on making more special buildings and possibly a few more great projects.

    What is this mod?

    EoE brings new flavour to the Roman restoration of the base game by:

    1. Combining elements from existing Roman flavour mods such as TFE

    2. Creating new original content to fill in the gaps and give it it’s own unique vision

    From other mods

    The Fallen Eagle:

  • TFE mechanics form the basis of this mod. This includes cultures, icons, the Province restoration system, etc.

    Roma Invicta:

  • The Born in Red framework so children of Emperors residing in Rome will have an equivalent to the Born in Purple framework

    Better Roman Empire Map:

  • The western reconquest event chain for Western Roman Emperors

    True Romans:

  • Icons

    Traits of the Greek Gods:

  • Roman flavoured Demi-God traits
    Original Content

  • New Greco-Roman faiths
  • New unique faith tenets
  • New cultural traditions for western Rome
  • New decisions to repopulate the old western provinces with loyal romans
  • New formable titles, religious and secular
  • New MAA

    I aim to expand on this in the future by creating new ahistorical options of conquest for Rome


    Compatibility

    This mod modifies 00_landed_titles anything that overwrites this file will result in a CTD

    THIS MOD IS COMPATIBLE WITH RICE!!!! I HAVE TESTED THAT A DOZEN TIMES. Any issues you experience are most likely related to another mod conflicting with EoE.
