Expanded Event Art Compilation Vol. II
Expands the variety of event illustrations seen in the campaign of the High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen, Skaven and Tomb Kings.
These event images exist ALONGSIDE all the pre-existing work, no piece of vanilla art was completely removed! In some cases, I ended up re-using the game’s original artwork in different contexts (mostly for Population Surplus events, which I figured to be more fitting if the art used shows the actual population).
All Settlement Besieged illustrations are from when you the player are assaulting an enemy settlement, the original Settlement Besieged art is still retained when the enemy is attacking you.
In the future, I will revisit this mod, and the original, and add more illustrations. Dark Elves in particular I wish to do more for, but was primarily focused on their loyalty events when I played them, so they don’t have as much done for them as others. That will change in time.
I have no intention of going over the events of Norsca, Vampire Coast or Warriors of Chaos. Not the former, because there doesn’t exist enough Games Workshop or Games Workshop inspired art of them to merit an expansion, and not the latter because I have that gut feeling that everything Chaos related is going to be revisited in Warhammer 3, which assuredly means more beautiful motion illustrations (check out what CA did for the Empire rework, awesome Elector Count art!), so I’ll wait for that to happen first.
