📜 Overview
Naples and Sicily sit at the crossroads of medieval Europe — torn between rival dynasties, papal politics, and the ambitions of France, Aragon, and Hungary. This mod brings that history to life with dynastic event chains, a new situation, and 70+ flavor events spanning five centuries.
⚔️ House of Durazzo & Valois-Anjou — a fully researched dynastic chain (1339–1400s) tracing both rival claims to the Neapolitan throne, with historically accurate characters, marriages, and successions.
👑 The War of Neapolitan Succession — a new situation (inspired by the vanilla Hundred Years’ War) featuring automatic CBs, papal intervention, Hungarian/French support, revolts, and naval battles.
📖 70+ Flavor Events — economic, political, military, and cultural events for NAP/TWS covering the Angevin era through later centuries.
🏰 Sicily — new content — starting with the succession crisis after Federico III’s death (1337), seed of the "Four Vicars" baronial crisis, and a dynamic event on whether the island crown styles itself "Trinacria" or openly reclaims the title "Kingdom of Sicily" in defiance of the Peace of Caltabellotta. More Sicilian events are in active development.
📌 All dynastic characters are historically documented; some compromises made for gameplay.
