Description:

Historical Flavour Viewer attempts to expose as much of the Historical Flavour packed into each country in Europa Universalis V as possible.

One of the bigger issues with the game currently is how opaque the flavour is, most users rely on the EU5 Wiki[eu5.paradoxwikis.com] or websites such as EU5DB[eu5db.com] to find a country’s flavour! This has led some users to believe the game is very shallow content-wise, when that couldn’t be further from the truth.

This mod uses the existing content files to automatically generate UI for the player to show them exactly what content is available for their country.

Dynamic Historical Events

Browse all of a country’s Dynamic Historical Events, organized by Age and displayed in rich detail. We try to get as close to the real event as possible so the user knows exactly what to expect.

• Description – Includes relevant Tooltip’d information and dynamically interpreted scopes, to get as close to the real event as possible!
• Triggers – How the event is triggered. We also include the Monthly Chance for the event to fire, and the event’s Year Range.
• Options – You can see all of the event’s available options and their effects by hovering over them, just like the real event!
• Immediate Effects – Some events cause immediate effects on your country, such as new characters appearing or your pops converting to a new religion. Unlike the vanilla events, we display these effects in the UI!

Historical Flags

All of the available Coat of Arms for your Tag are displayed in a big list. Hovering over each flag will tell you their required Triggers!

This mod is a Work In Progress! There may be issues with some of the content listed, but I’ll be working every day to fix as many broken/missing localizations, triggers and effects as I can!

• Filtering – Being able to filter events by their rewards, if they’ve expired, if they’re currently possible, and general importance
• Expired Events – Filtering out events that have already launched
• Other Country Content – EU5 already has a way to browse this content so its a lower priority, but I would like to eventually also include the other flavour content such as unique advances, government reforms, laws, etc.
• Formables Support – Currently when you form a new nation, your tag and content viewer changes. Ideally you would be able to easily view your previous Tags contents too.
• View Foreign Nation’s Content – Some way to view another nation’s content if you wanted
• Modded Flavour Support – We want to provide the neccessary tools for modders so they’re able to add support for showing their new content in the Content Viewer Window too.
