Description:

This mod allows coupling and uncoupling of trains. This can be a longer train dividing into two to cover different routes, or a pool of small trains being formed into longer trains at busier times of day from a depot.

Guide (in progress) here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3676998109

Supports the following functions:
Configure a line stop to form trains of a given length on spawn (use for depot start)
Configure a line to spawn trains with a given number of units (alternative to the above)
At line stop, couple to a train in front if present
At a line stop, detach part of the train to form a new train (you can now allocate the train orders as well, with some restrictions)
Automatically despawn train after inactivity timeout
Automatically run a variable shift pattern on a line with varied length trains
Force new trains to be spawned at a particular location (useful to spawn carriages for use with loco-hauled trains)

Note that some of the features of this mod are designed to work with schedules where lines come on-and-off shift, not everything works with auto-run-line. Specifically, you can’t (currently) couple to a train to another train that is also running a shift.

Additional note: the game doesn’t allow splitting of individual trains, defined by what you purchase. To use this you need to purchase multiple small trains, and the mod will join them together as requested.
