Jax goes for broke! $%#& with your opponents using guns, a bowling ball, and other zany antics as The Amazing Digital Circus’ funny bunny!

Special Moves

Down Special: Hold This!

As per alleged request from his good friend Kaufmo, Jax gives a bowling ball to the opponent by chucking it up in an arc like a shotput. Anyone in its trajectory will be brutally slammed and sent flying by its sheer weight and kinetic force, and it’ll roll for a short period once it lands on the ground. If it doesn’t fall off the stage, however, it’ll stay as something that both Jax and other fighters can hit and interact with.

Most attacks will simply knock the bowling ball in a direction depending on the hitbox’s angle, but some of Jax’s attacks can also interact with it in special ways. After the ball falls offstage, down special will have a brief yet considerable cooldown that will last just a bit longer depending on how many times the ball struck an opponent (or its owner if its hit back at him). Hitting someone with it up to three times will automatically make the bowling ball intangible and fall offscreen.

Neutral Special: Gun

For his Neutral Special, he wields a gun. As Jax twirls a gun in his hand to show off before taking aim, a reticle will appear before him that can be moved around with the joystick. Holding down special will allow Jax more time to aim, but after either the button is let go or a few seconds pass, he’ll fire the gun wherever the reticle is pointed.

If the reticle hovers over another player when they’re not dodging, it’ll lock to them and follow their every move, giving Jax a clear line of sight to shoot them. Be careful when firing closer to your target though, because if Jax is parried at a point blank distance, the gun will backfire and put him in a longer stun than he would’ve had otherwise.

Forward Special: Carnivoric Lunge

Jax leaps forward with his mouth wide open and takes a nice big bite onto the first opponent in his way, like the non vegan he is. After landing on all fours, he then shakes whatever’s in his mouth in a dog-like fashion and throws it left or right depending on what direction is held down. If he misses when using the attack in the air, he’ll automatically go into pratfall, so be careful when using this move offstage.

Furthermore, he can even grab his bowling ball and throw it using this move.

Up Special: Up You Go!

Thanks to the help of a certain ringmaster offscreen, Jax will teleport in one of eight directions depending on what directions are held down. A weak hitbox will appear when he pops out on the other end, but it won’t do much more than pop up whoever’s there. If he has the bowling ball out, he’ll teleport to it instead unless shield is held down.

Developer Tips

– When wall jumping, you can hold down jump to make Jax cling to the wall, or rather he’ll just stand on it. You’ll see what that means.
– Jax has a hard time keeping his mouth shut no matter what, so if you ever get tired of hearing him, a mute button on the character select screen will shut him up.
– The bowling ball can be hit back at Jax, so be careful when throwing it out at an approaching opponent.
– UStrong has a brief hitbox at the start where he’ll suck anyone close by onto the vacuum before blowing it above himself. This too works with his bowling ball.
– FStrong has a low priority sweet spot that can only be landed if the target is airborne or just tall enough to reach from a distance. A familiar sound will play on hit.
