Augustus Revised: the Perusine War
This mod changes the startpos.esf file. This file provides the base data for the loading of every campaign, like a save at turn 0. Hence, it’s NOT compatible with any other mods that modifies this file, such us overhaul mod, turns per year mod or victory conditions mod.
Before reporting any crash/bug, please try to run the mod alone, so to be sure the problem isn’t about compatibility.
This mod is a standalone one, you just need access to the Emperor Augustus campaign
The vanilla set up of the Augustus Campaign is way too superficial, from missing generals to completely made-up regions ownerships.
This mod aim to patch these flaws in a vanilla friendly way, by adding three real factions who had a minor but still important role in the civil war, set up around the events of the Perusine war. This war changed the balance in favour to Octavian and weakened Antony’s position in Europe.
Regions are assigned according to the real revision made to the Triumvirate, after the battle of Philippi.
(AR01):
- Added 3 new roman factions: Gallic Rome, Fulvia’s Rome and Labienus Rome.
- Removed 3 factions: Iberia, Gallia and Boii.
- Changed region ownerships: Iberia is now assigned to Octavian, Gallic Rome now controls Gallia, Fulvia owns parts of south Italy and Latium, Labienus starts with the province of Thapsacus in Syria. Istros is now occupied by the Dacians.
- Family trees featuring historical characters: each new faction has a functioning family tree and political parties. Civil wars and secessions are not yet available.
- Added victory conditions: all 3 new factions have military, economic and cultural victory conditions.
- All victory conditions halved: the required number of settlements, trade agreements, razed cities and so on, is halved for all factions, new and old, roman and not roman.
- Rebels adjusted to the new regions ownerships: faction rebels are adjusted for all roman provinces, while secondary generic rebels are now based on local cultures, instead of the generic latin rebels.
- Small changes in the starting diplomatic relations: Parthia now starts the campaign at peace with Mark Antony, but is expected to join the war soon. Other minor changes were made to Parthia and the sorrounding factions.
The mod has 4 turns per year.
This mod was made in english. If you are playing Rome 2 in any other language, some text may be missing. This won’t have any impact on the working of the mod, but if you’are wondering how to fix it, just switch the game language to english in the game properties inside the steam library.
