Kidnap Rulers & Heirs

This mod adds new peace options, decisions, diplomatic actions and events in order to be able to kidnap/imprison rulers and heirs and liberate them as well as extort ransom. The AI can make use of these as well.
There are more detailed descriptions of all peace treaties, decisions and diplomatic actions below. In all these descriptions ROOT refers to the acting country.




There is also a variant of each of the above peace treaties that is available with the Conquest CB, if ROOT has either completed the Exploration Ideas or the Expansion Ideas and the Target’s capital is either in North or South America and not on the same continent as ROOT’s capital and the Target is not a subject nation.








AI can use these decisions as well, but it probably doesn’t happen that often that the AI has enough troops in a province if another country’s ruler/heir enters it.
There also is a non-enactable decisions that shows the countries of which you already kidnapped/imprisoned heirs and rulers and some information about those (date of imprisonment/kidnapping, current age, claim/legitimacy).
If you win a battle (in one of your provinces) in which the enemy army is lead by the heir or ruler of the enemy and it would be possible to kidnap him, there is a 80% chance that you do that.




There are messages that will pop up after a few days, if:
- your ruler/heir is in a province of a country that theoretically could try to kidnap him
- a ruler/heir that you theoretically could try to kidnap is in one of your provinces
- the country of which you kidnapped a ruler/heir signes a peace treaty that leads to their current ruler/heir getting in another country’s capitivty, making it impossible for you to extort ransom from them for this ruler/heir
- German localisation included

- should be compatible with all DLCs
- should be compatible with any mod that doesn’t change:
- the messagetypes.txt file in …interface (both mods will work, but either the messages of this or the other mod aren’t shown)
- one of these war goals in a file in …commonwargoal_types: superiority_loan, superiority_insult, superiority_insult_mutual, take_claim (both mods will work, but the changes of the other mod aren’t taken into account)
