More Special Buildings: Russia 1.2 – Keep Ferrets Alive
What is the mod about?

Looking across the vast expanses of Eastern Europe, one can’t help but feel a certain gloom due to the lack of distinctive features. This modification partially fixing that by adding new special buildings across the territories of Rus’, the Volga region, the western Great Steppe, and the northern lands inhabited by Finno-Ugric peoples.

Special Buildings
Territory of Rus’
  • Detinets — a stronghold of power for East Slavic princes. Currently, there are no unique detinets. In the future, they are planned to be made more unique depending on the historical context of the cities in which they are located.
  • Spaso-Euthymius Monastery — located in Suzdal.
  • Cathedral of Saint Demetrius — located in Vladimir (Zalessky).
  • Cathedral of the Transfiguration — located in Yaroslavl (Timerovo).
  • Trinity-Elias Monastery — located in Chernigov.
  • Holy Trinity Cathedral — located in Pskov.
  • Minsk Castle — an upgradable special castle building in Minsk.

Territory of the Volga Region
  • Heart of the Volga — an upgradeable special building in Bolghar. Volga Bulgaria was a center of civilization in the region and a fairly developed state, which is very weakly represented in the game. This building increases income, development, and the speed of cultural fascination progress.
  • Aga-Bazaar — a торговый center that increases taxes. Located in the county of Bolghar.
  • Yaltavar Palace — a special building in Bilyar, in the County of Bulgar.
  • Kazan Kremlin — located in Kazan. An upgradable building.
  • Kama Market — a trade center in Perm.
  • Beechwood Forests — honeywoods located in Mordovia. An economic natural building.
  • Fur Production Center — economic special buildings located in the northern territories of Eastern Europe, Siberia, and the Kingdom of Sapmi.

Territory of the Steppe
  • Bazar of Itil — a trade center in Itil.
  • Court of Western Merchants — a trade center in Tmutarakan. Reflects the activity of Jewish Radhanite merchants in the region.
  • Ak-Sarkel — a Khazar fortress in Sarkel. An upgradeable special building.
  • Don Harbor — a port building located in Tanais (Tana).
  • Olvia Harbor — a port building located in Olvia.
  • Kerch Port — a port building located in Kerch.
  • Cherson Emporium — a trade center in Cherson.
  • Derbent — a special building in Derbent, reflecting the city’s wealth and importance to the region.
  • Yangikent — a specialized economic structure in Yangikent, in the Aral Sea region.

Another additions
  • Fur Production Center — economic special buildings located in the northern territories of Eastern Europe, Siberia, and the Kingdom of Sapmi.
  • Ural Mines — two copper mines, one silver mine, and one gold mine have been added.

Future Plans
  • Reworking existing buildings to improve regional balance and add greater uniqueness
  • Adding new special buildings across Eastern Europe
  • In progress: A decision for the rulers of Volga Bulgaria, allowing them to adopt feudalism and embrace a new organized faith
