Air Territories

Adds “faction airspace” rules and transit control to flying vehicles on the RimWorld world map.

Core features

  • Calculates a straight-line aerial path and checks the faction ownership of each tile’s airspace along the route.
  • Determines transit permissions based on faction relations:
    • Allies: passage allowed by default.
    • Neutral (non-allied): airspace permits can be purchased via comms.
    • Hostile: passage denied by default.
  • If you force entry through restricted airspace, an interception chance is calculated based on the length of the straight-line path.
  • Unauthorized transit will incur a goodwill penalty regardless of whether interception occurs.

Main Features

  • Displays “no-fly airspace factions” near the fuel cost indicator during target selection.
  • Real-time visualization of aerial paths on the world map:
    • Green: passable.
    • Red: passes through restricted airspace.
  • Interception consequences:
    • The vehicle is forced to land at a random tile near the path.
    • The vehicle takes random durability damage.
    • Passengers suffer random cut/burn injuries.
    • Gravships will undergo a number of explosions, and passengers will also take damage.

Permits & Payment

  • Neutral faction permits are purchased via comms.
  • Silver payment automatically pulls from available silver on the map.

Settings

  • Neutral permit mode: per-use / duration-based.
  • Silver factor (price multiplier): 0.1–10.
  • Number of uses: 1–30.
  • Duration (days): 0.2–30.
  • Interception chance factor (per tile): 0.001–0.2.
  • Goodwill penalty per violation: 0–100.

Feedback and suggestions are welcome.
