Mobile Suit Gundam: Project V

"It’s not just a mobile suit. It’s a Gundam."

Adds the White Base mobile suit lineup from Mobile Suit Gundam (0079) to RimWorld as fully modular exosuits using the Exosuit Framework. Eight suits. Every weapon a swappable independent module. A full Earth Federation faction with military ranks and permit tree.


Suits

White Base Core Lineup

  • RX-78-2 Gundam — The original. Beam Rifle, Gundam Shield, Beam Saber, Hyper Bazooka. Four independent hardpoints. The suit that changed the war.
  • RX-77-2 Guncannon — Fire support platform. Twin 240mm shoulder cannons and a 100mm spray gun. Built to cover the Gundam, not replace it.
  • RX-75 Guntank — Long-range artillery. Twin 180mm cannons, 40mm Vulcan pod. Tank treads. It does not close distance. It does not need to.
  • RGM-79 GM — Mass-production front-line unit. Beam Spray Gun, 100mm machine gun, GM Shield. Less capable than the Gundam. There are far more of them.

Ground Type Variants

  • RGM-79(G) GM Ground Type — GM reconfigured for atmospheric ground operations. Beam Spray Gun, Beam Javelin melee sweep, Ground Assault verb.
  • RGM-79SC GM Sniper Custom — Limited-production precision variant. Lightened frame, upgraded sensor visor, long-range beam rifle. Built to engage at distances the standard GM cannot reach. It does not close distance with anything.
  • RX-79(G) Gundam Ground Type — Gundam frame rebuilt from salvaged parts for ground combat. Heavier armour, Beam Javelin, Double Bazooka (occupies both mount slots simultaneously).

RX-78 Variants

  • RX-78-3 G-3 Gundam — Experimental magnetic coating on every joint actuator. Faster movement, dramatically improved melee dodge, slight melee damage bonus over the base Gundam. Exclusive ability: Last Shot — a concentrated minovsky beam discharge at range 60 that kills any target outright on impact, armour irrelevant. Long recharge cooldown (~3 in-game days). Fire it, and get clear.
  • FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam — Standard Gundam frame under bolt-on external armour panels, extended propellant tanks, and dual overlay modules. Highest armour values in the lineup. Slower than every other suit. It does not dodge. It absorbs.


Module System

Each suit separates into a core frame and independent slot modules. The core handles movement, armour, and base stats. Modules add weapons and equipment — crafted separately, equipped independently, swappable mid-campaign.

  • Ranged: Beam Rifle · Hyper Bazooka · Beam Spray Gun · 100mm Machine Gun · 180mm Cannon · 240mm Cannon · Double Bazooka (2 slots) · 40mm Vulcan Pod
  • Melee: Beam Saber (Gundam/G-3/Full Armor) · Beam Javelin with sweep attack (GM Ground / Gundam Ground)
  • Shields: Gundam Shield · GM Shield — passive flat armour bonus while equipped
  • Overlay panels: FA-78 Left/Right Armour Panels — additional ArmorRating bolted over the Full Armor frame
  • Thruster jump (Royalty required) — Chemfuel-powered, 50 units per jump. Charges shown on the core gizmo. Colonists auto-refuel from stockpiles.

Research is tiered. RX-78-2 unlocks first. All other suits and variants branch from it.


Earth Federation Forces Faction

A new Earth Federation Forces faction. Build relationships, earn favour, rank up through the Federation’s military hierarchy, and call in support that the Empire cannot match.

Military Ranks (requires Royalty)

  • Private → Ensign → Lieutenant → Captain → Commander → Admiral

Federation Permits — what you can call in:

  • Basic Supply Drop — Steel, components (Ensign+)
  • Medical Airdrop — Herbal, industrial, and glitterworld medicine (Ensign+)
  • GM Support Squad — Two GM pilots to your position (Lieutenant+)
  • Ground Artillery Barrage — Five-impact barrage across a target area (Lieutenant+)
  • Advanced Supply Drop — Plasteel, Spacer components (Captain+)
  • Fortification Emergency Drop — Steel, industrial components, Chemfuel (Captain+)
  • GM Ground Squad — Two GM Ground units and a sniper (Captain+)
  • White Base Cannon Strike — Single devastating cannon impact (Commander+)
  • Gundam Ground Strike — Two snipers and a Gundam Ground Type ace (Commander+)
  • Missile Barrage — Eight rapid-fire missile impacts over a wide area (Admiral)
  • Federation Ace Pilot — Single Federation ace in full kit (Admiral)
  • White Base Full Broadside — Four massive cannon impacts. The heaviest permit in the tree. 4 permit points. (Admiral)


Requirements

  • REQUIRED: Exosuit Framework by Aoba
  • OPTIONAL: RimWorld: Royalty — thruster jump, techprints, Federation rank and permit system
  • OPTIONAL: RimWorld: Odyssey — vacuum resistance on all frames (sealed cockpits)

Load order: Exosuit Framework → Royalty (if present) → Project V


Compatibility

  • Safe to add to an existing save.
  • No vanilla defs overwritten — all content is additive.
  • CE (Combat Extended) not currently supported.


Optional — Pilot Visual

Project V adds the frames, weapons, modules, and faction. It does not add a pilot undersuit. For the full visual experience:
