Tired of endless wars? Build an economy driven dynasty of bankers to dominate medieval finance instead! The mod is in active development so any and all feedback is welcome!
Features
- Open a Bank – With enough gold, you can open a bank and start inviting new depositors via a diplomatic interaction
- Banker Trait – A new trait to track the reputation of your bank, and your skill at running it
- Bank Loans – Bankers can offer loans to other characters, but beware, you may have to recover the gold with steel
- Open an Account – Characters can open bank accounts with banks, and deposit/withdraw funds as they wish
- Close an Account – Characters can close their bank accounts whenever they like. The AI will do this too if they get into financial trouble
- Interest Rates – Depositors can (and will) ask for improved interest rates when their confidence in a banker’s ability to pay them is lacking
- Acquire Depositors – Most characters can be signed up to your bank simply enough, but Emperors will require more persuasion. Depositors from other banks can be tempted over too, but you may need to offer them an incentive
- Annual Review System – Both bankers and depositors get an annual event that increases (or decreases) their total bank balance/account balance respectively
- Inheritance – Bank ownership and bank loan debts are inherited by the primary heir. Bank accounts are closed instead and the balance is paid to the heir
- Personal Loans – You can give any character a loan even if you don’t own a bank, but they’re under no obligation to pay it off, and if they die whilst still in debt, it’s written off
