Player Occupation Policy

Effect
When a human player acquires new territory through a peace treaty, the following actions fire automatically:

  • Barracks and conscription center removal — clears the previous owner’s military formations and draft setup so unwanted units and mobilization presets don’t pollute your army
  • Production method sync — every building in the new territory has its production methods, transport modes and automation settings aligned to whichever option you use most across your existing buildings (majority-vote, updated monthly)
  • On-demand infrastructure — if the target production method requires electricity but no power plant exists, one is built automatically; same for railways when rail transport is needed

AI countries are completely unaffected.

Smart sync

  • Scans all your buildings monthly and tallies which production method is used most for each slot
  • Newly acquired territory is set to your majority preference — not a fixed template, but a reflection of your actual choices
  • Buildings you’ve never owned (e.g., rubber plantations on your first tropical conquest) are left as-is
  • Covers 55 building types across 133 switchable slots — factories, farms, mines, plantations, power plants, railways, government buildings and more

  • Expansion-focused players tired of manually adjusting production methods state by state after every war
  • Industrial great powers wanting new provinces to plug into the national economy immediately
  • Perfectionists who can’t stand outdated production methods running in freshly conquered land

Compatibility
Compatible with all other mods in this series. Does not overwrite any base-game files — purely additive.

Notes

  • Only fires after a peace treaty is signed (wartime military occupation does not trigger it).
  • Any mod changes the multiplayer save signature.
