Description:
Better Extended Outliner

Better Extended Outliner is a merged and updated outliner mod for Crusader Kings III 1.19.*.

This version combines the expanded outliner features of Extended Outliner with the practical manual sorting feature from Better Outliner.

Better Extended Outliner started as a compatibility restoration for current CK3 versions, but has since grown into a broader UI and usability update that keeps the original spirit of Extended Outliner while significantly improving holdings, armies, pinned titles, and general outliner workflow.

NEW: Elective Title Control from the Outliner

Managing several elective titles can be tedious, especially with large dynasties and long candidate lists.

Pinned Titles now include direct election tools, so you no longer have to open every title, enter the election screen, scroll through candidates, and vote manually again and again.

  • Show Election – open the election window for an elective title directly from the outliner
  • Vote for Player Heir – vote for your current player heir on a single pinned elective title
  • Master Heir Vote – vote for your current player heir in all pinned elective titles where possible
  • Auto-Pin Elective Titles – automatically pin all held elective titles where you can vote

This does not transfer titles directly and does not guarantee succession. It only changes your own election nomination where CK3 allows it.

Especially useful for:

  • Tanistry / Tribal / Feudal Elective
  • large dynasties with many possible candidates
  • keeping multiple kingdom or empire titles aligned with your player heir

NEW: Army Header Quick Actions

The Army section now includes compact header buttons for common army actions.

  • Raise Armies – raise available armies directly from the outliner
  • Army Automation – toggle the global Vanilla army automation mode
  • Disband All – disband armies through the normal Vanilla confirmation dialog

The buttons remain visible in the Army header and are disabled whenever the action is currently not available.

NEW: Improved Holding Management

Domain Holdings and Pinned Holdings now show more useful management information directly in the outliner.

  • Build available appears when a holding can construct a new building
  • Active construction names are still shown in the same compact construction slot
  • Pinned Holdings now also support the Marshal control quick-action button
  • Improved tooltips for holding icons, names, values, and actions

This makes it much easier to see where you can build, where construction is already running, and where control problems need attention.

Direct Marshal Control Assignment

Low control county?

No need to:

  • Open the Council screen
  • Select "Increase Control in County"
  • Search the map for the correct county

Simply click the Marshal button directly in the Domain Holdings or Pinned Holdings section.

  • Only appears for valid counties
  • Hidden on counties with maximum control
  • Disabled when the Marshal is already working in that county
  • Confirmation dialog before reassigning tasks

Army Outliner Improvements

The Army section has been reworked into a cleaner and more useful two-line layout.

  • Improved army rows with clearer status information
  • Army attrition and supply are visible directly in the outliner
  • Selected armies are easier to recognize
  • Sieging armies show siege progress directly in the outliner
  • Siege progress bars can be clicked to open the siege window
  • Combat, movement, gathering, embarked, and siege states are easier to read at a glance

Traffic-Light Control System

Domain Holdings and Pinned Holdings highlight county control directly in the outliner.

  • 🟢 Green = Full Control
  • 🟡 Yellow = Reduced Control
  • 🔴 Red = Critical Control

This makes low-control holdings much easier to spot at a glance.

Together with the Marshal quick-action button, the outliner now helps you both identify and fix control problems without digging through extra menus.
