Improved Follower PERKS (1.0.1) – Enhanced
There is no Legacy version.
Introduces a completely new set of perks that provide slightly better bonuses, most of which spread them across different stats. This means if your follower has a huge amount of Strength and Vitality, they’re very likely to roll a perk that further enhances those stats. These cross-stat perks exist for (almost) every combination to provide as much variety as possible.
All perks will provide +5 stats at a minimum, whether that’s to a single stat or across multiple. There are multiple versions of each perk that provide higher/lower bonuses depending on what stats your follower has at the time of acquiring them.
In addition to this, a number of extra perks have been added as "consolation prize" perks for followers that somehow end up with absolutely garbage stats. When I say garbage, I mean "nothing above a 6 by level 10". They won’t completely salvage the situation, but it should help keep them alive if you’re not in a position to reroll their perks. Similarly, none of the new perks reduce stats as when those hit your major stats it just felt bad.
Currently the perks are available for ALL different types of follower, there aren’t any special variations for animal/undead followers. This may change in future but it will be a purely aesthetic thing in giving them flavorful names. Existing perks other than the named companion perks have been disabled in a way that won’t remove them from existing followers, but should make it impossible for them to appear during level up. This means the named Dog followers (Brutus, Koji, etc) won’t get their overpowered perks but what I’ve added shouldn’t be too much of a nerf to them.
Should be compatible with any and all mods that increase follower level caps, modify their stats, let them learn extra perks, pretty much anything not directly related to the perks themselves
If another mod;
Adds new thrall types -> Should be 100% compatible
Adds new animal followers -> A custom animal type with new perks can receive both mine and those, otherwise fine
Changes existing perks -> Load mine afterwards
Adds new perks -> Load order doesn’t matter, but intended balance of either mod isn’t guaranteed
