Yelena "Ghost" Belova

Born in Montana to a secretive Russian immigrant father, Yelena Belova learned to calculate wind resistance before she could drive. When a hit squad murdered her father just after her 17th birthday, she didn’t call the police. Instead, she took his hidden passport and tracked the killers all the way to Russia.

After sniping three of them from 1,400 meters, she was captured by a classified Spetsnaz GRU unit. Impressed by the teenage prodigy-and revealing her father was a defected Soviet black-ops sniper. The commander offered her a choice: a Siberian gulag, or her father’s old job. She chose the rifle.

After a decade operating as an elite, unacknowledged Spetsnaz sniper, Yelena realized she preferred American capitalism over Russian state orders. Faking her death, she went private. Today, Ghost is a highly-paid mercenary who prefers to solve all her problems from a mile away.
