Advanced Architecture & Fortifications
I was frustrated with the inability to implement some of my base design ideas due to settings limitations and lack of construction options. This mod sets out to give you the tools unleash your creativity in designing your bases.
Adds three tiers of wood, stone and metal columns. There is also a basic tier brick and concrete column. Each tier is more expensive and harder to build. Requires that Advanced Construction be researched, which required Basic, Brick and Concrete Construction to be researched first.
Basic Tier:
Low cost to build and requires 3 construction skill to build.
Quality Tier:
Medium cost to build and requires 5 construction skill to build.
Ornate Tier:
High cost to build and requires 8 construction skill to build.
Adds one wood, stone and brick archway. Requires 8 construction skill and that Advanced Construction be researched, which required Basic, Brick and Concrete Construction to be researched first.
Removed the restrictions that required some doorways to have stairs if on a high ledge. Also removed most collision requirements to allow building much closer to the doorway.
This mod uses a new methodology to increase the maximum height of floor foundations to 60 voxels. Research is required to unlock this capability.
The health of walls, floors, towers and fortifications have been doubled and various damage resistances added. Research is required to unlock these benefits. The damage resistances are applied by type:
Adds resistances to Blunt, Piercing, Energy, and Gas damage:
- Brick (40%, 40%, 40%, 80%)
- Carbon(90%, 90%, 90%, 90%)
- Concrete (40%, 40%, 60%, 40%)
- Wood (20%, 10%, 10%, 20%)
- Metal (30%, 60%, 80%, 80%)
- Scrap Metal (10%, 20%, 60%, 60%)
- Stone (50%, 60%, 40%, 80%)
- Safe to add to existing saves.
- Will conflict with other mods that change max floor height including Taller-er Floors and Taller Floors
