No More English Culture Before 1250

Are you tired of English culture coming into being only five years after the start of every game? I know I am.
Whether it’s 1066 or 1178, it always plays out the same way. The Norman ruler of England takes the decision to embrace English culture. And why shouldn’t they? Much more lucrative to take that decision than to be a foreigner ruling over a bunch of strangers who hate you.
But it bothers me how simple it is. In reality, the English language we know today only came about through centuries of intermingling between the two cultures. Half the country isn’t going to be speaking a different language overnight just because the king ordered it.
So I decided to make it harder for this to play out. This process of intermingling shouldn’t culminate until at least 1250, and only then once Cultural Acceptance is good enough. This should also prevent random AI-generated hybrid cultures from coming about between Anglo-Saxons and Normans.
After 1066, English wasn’t used in an official capacity in England until the reign of Edward III… almost two hundred years after the latest start date. Install this if you want a more immersive gameplay experience.
