Better Thrall ICONS (1.0.0) – Enhanced
There is no Legacy version
All thralls have been given Tier appropriate icons, very simple.
…okay so there’s slightly more to it. There are special colours for (some) thralls that have bonus stats from being Purge related and another colour for "Tier 5" thralls. I’ve tried to make the colours universally colourblind friendly so it’s probably not perfect but please let me know if they’re good enough. I’ve also added special icons to the Priests to show which diety they’re meant for which is REALLY helpful to work out who some of the named ones worship.
COLOURS:
White – Tier 1-3
Blue – Tier 4
+Gold – "Tier 5"
+Red – Purge
What the heck is a Tier 5 thrall?
I touched on "Tier 5" a little in my Better Tavern Patrons mod but essentially there are a number of thralls that have some modifiers marked as "T5" or "5" which are a step up from the normal Tier 4 ones. This doesn’t always make them great thralls, it just means they’re better than other Tier 4s before faction modifiers are applied.
Why don’t all the Purge thralls have special colours?
The icon for a thrall is set via their "ProfessionTemplate" in their spawn table entry which provides a number of stat bonuses and defines their role. A number of Purge thralls have the same entry as regular thralls but something else that gives them bonus stats, so they won’t get an icon that identifies them. There is a method to fixing this that I’m considering doing but it’s potentially a compatibility issue down the line.
This mod simply overwrites the icons on the existing Profession table entries, it should be fine with literally every other mod so long as they’re not doing the same thing.
If a mod adds custom Professions and would like me to add compatibility from my end, please let me know.
This is one of the rare occasions the mod contains some of MY assets, haha!… but yeah Funcom made everything else.
