Description:
v1.1.6 Patch Notes
Compatible with base game version 1.2.5
  • Added complete AI-generated English localization, translated using Google Gemini.
  • The Jurchen Confederation action "Request Autonomy" can now be initiated by non-leader Commissioned Governors.
  • Adjusted several art assets.

Overview:

This mod adds additional historical flavor events, government reforms, laws, and estate privileges for Manchuria and the Qing Dynasty, as well as a unique "Manchu Conquest of China" Situation. It enriches the Qing Dynasty’s content while simulating its formation. Additionally, a certain number of generic Chinese events have been added.

This mod has collaborated with [Chinese Atlas] Ming and Qing Provincial, Prefectural, and County Placenames to restore the peak territorial extent of the Qing Dynasty in the game.

⚠️ Note:

Although this mod strives to recreate historical events as accurately as possible, it is ultimately a video game. When historical accuracy conflicts with gameplay, gameplay will take precedence. At the same time, this mod will attempt to objectively present the full picture of historical events and avoid subjective evaluations of any content.

Current Mod Features:
  • Nearly 500 new flavor events; 1 unique Situation; 1 unique Disaster; 4 new Subject types; over 10 new Actions.
  • Over 20 new Government Reforms; over 50 new Laws and Policies; over 10 new Estate Privileges.
  • Over 10 new Bureaucracies; 10 exclusive Town Privileges; over 50 historical Characters; over 10 new Buildings, and more.
  • Added historical descriptions to a large number of the game’s vanilla historical events.
  • Modified event triggers to prevent dynastic displacement (e.g., the Huangming Zuxun/Ancestral Injunctions must occur within the Ming Dynasty).

Gameplay Introduction:
Jurchen Tribes Phase:
Highly recommended to start as the leader of the Jurchen Confederation
  • At the start of the game, although it is still early in the historical timeline, you can experience the journey of unifying the tribes through the Jurchen Confederation panel.
  • In the early stages of the Confederation, only mutual defense against foreign enemies is mandatory, while free internal annexation is permitted. The leader’s power is limited, and laws require member votes.
  • The Edict mechanic is the key credential for gaining recognition from the Celestial Empire and elevating your political status.
  • The Confederation leader is not set in stone. Any member meeting the conditions can challenge the leader using a special Casus Belli.
  • Once the leader has accumulated enough Edicts, they can Establish Absolute Authority—initiating the process of unifying the three major tribes.
  • After Absolute Authority is established and the three major tribes are unified, Manchuria can be formed by enacting the Unification Law.

Manchuria Phase:
Upon forming Manchuria, you can choose to rapidly Enter the Pass or slowly play tall
  • Forming Manchuria will give birth to the new Manchu culture, and can trigger numerous exclusive flavor events such as the Manchu script, the Eight Banners, and moving the capital to Shengjing.
  • Celestial Empire Crisis Value System: This is a special metric. Any Celestial Empire other than the Yuan Dynasty will accumulate this value through various historical events.
  • When this value reaches 100, an enhanced version of the "Crisis of the Chinese Empire" Disaster will trigger, creating a strategic window to Enter the Pass.
  • After controlling Eastern Mongolia, you can accept Mongolian culture and unlock the Jasagh system through events.
  • Finally, after defeating all Mongolian factions, claiming the title of Khagan of the Mongols will unlock powerful Government Reforms.

Entering the Pass Phase:
Due to compatibility issues, this Situation can only be triggered after the conclusion of the Red Turban Rebellion
  • Exploit the Celestial Empire Crisis to Enter the Pass, occupy Beijing, and form the Qing Dynasty to unlock the core "Manchu Conquest of China" Situation.
  • After entering the Pass, you will be forced to adopt reforms that heavily favor the Manchu nobility, bringing massive negative effects.
  • "Manchu Conquest of China" Situation: East Asian Confucian nations will be forced to pick a side (Surrender/Resist/Neutral). A "Strongest Resister" will be chosen to dynamically simulate the anti-Qing campaigns of different factions.
  • During the Situation, negative events portraying harsh, coercive policies will continuously trigger. They can only be abolished once the Situation is completed. This serves as both a challenge and a goal driving the historical process.
  • The Situation has four possible outcomes: Total victory for the Qing Dynasty; a successful counteroffensive by the resisters forcing the Manchus back beyond the Pass; or a stalemate where no one wins, initiating a battle royale.

There is still a vast amount of content after entering the Pass, which will not be detailed here. You should trigger most of it through normal gameplay.
