Slavic Enlarged
A comprehensive Slavic overhaul for Crusader Kings III — 35 cultures, 4 faith branches, 15 holy sites and a holy-site-driven reformation reward system.
Slavic Enlarged replaces the base game’s broad Slavic cultures with historical tribes and gives Slavic paganism a three-branch regional structure with its own reformation mechanic.
Eastern (11)
Krivichians, Vyatichi, Drevlyans, Dregovichs, Polyans, Ulichs, Radimichs, Polochans, Severian, Tivertsi, Ilmenian
Southern (7)
Travunians, Docleani, Timocani, Branicevci, Smolyani, Pannonian Slavs, Draguvites
Western & Polabian (12)
Polans, Goplans, Mazovians, Kashubians, Nitrianians, Hevelli, Wagrians, Obodrites, Lutici, Rani, Sorbian, Drevani
Vanilla corrections (+4)
Vistulan, Silesian, Pommeranian, Croatian / Serbian / Carantanian
All Slavic pagans in 867 start in one of three regional branches. A fourth faith — Ancient — represents the common root and holds all 15 holy sites.
Eastern — Ruthenia, Polotia (ancestor worship, ritual celebrations, sanctity of nature)
Western — Polabia, Poland, Bohemia (warmonger, ritual celebrations, sanctity of nature)
Southern — Balkans (false conversion sanction, ritual celebrations, sanctity of nature)
Ancient — common root, no starting characters (ancestor worship, sanctity of nature, communal identity)
All faiths are polytheist, male-dominated, headless, with married clergy.
Eastern: Kyiv, Lviv, Minsk, Novgorod, Polotsk
Western: Arkona (Rugen), Plock, Prague, Legnica, Retra (Mecklenburg)
Southern: Velbazhd, Tolna, Ston (Zachlumia), Barlad, Szerem
Each holy site grants unique piety and prestige bonuses.
Reform via the standard vanilla button. The mod checks how many of the 15 Slavic holy sites you control and fires a reward or penalty:
9+ holy sites — Great Reformer: +500 piety, +250 prestige, 30-year modifier (+10% piety/mo, +20 same-faith opinion)
6–8 holy sites — neutral outcome, no bonus or penalty
< 6 holy sites — Hasty Reformer: -300 piety, 15-year penalty modifier
Use the "Assess the Slavic Holy Sites" decision before reforming to check your tier.

Requires CK3 1.19.*
Safe to add mid-campaign — culture/faith assignments fire on game start, so for best results start a new game in 867 AD.
Tested combinations:
– Cultural Expanded (CE) — works in practice (confirmed by community). SE overrides 4 vanilla cultures (pommeranian, carantanian, croatian, serbian) — whichever mod loads last wins. Known interaction: CE’s "form Lechitia" decision for the Polans is suppressed by SE — compat patch planned.
– RICE — no file conflicts expected (RICE is event-based). Untested by author, but no reports of issues.
– EPE — should be fine. EPE handles portraits/ethnicities, SE handles cultures/events — no file overlap.
If you mix mods, load SE LAST and start a new game.
This mod is NOT Ironman-compatible. Steam achievements will be disabled while SE is active. (Standard CK3 behavior for any mod modifying cultures/faiths.)
– South Slavic cultures (Travunian, Docleani, Timocani, etc.) may display Polish-style names — fix in progress.
– "Vidilism" faith may occasionally spread to non-Slavic counties in Rus — being investigated.
Both are top priority for the next patch.
