Game Rules – Attack The Colony

Raytheon has provided us with the Patriot Missile System.
The Standalone Patriot Missile Battery has a range of 30 Hex Radius (viewable after placement – Game Limitation)
The Missile Battery contains its own power source – Its placeable anywhere.

The Mobile Patriot Missile Rover is nearly indestructible.
Now defends against enemy rovers, meteors and dust devils. – All settable with Mod Config
Range for Mobile Patriot Missile rover is 20 hex radius for meteors, 30 hex radius for dust devils and long range for counter enemy attacks.
Rovers now deploy near the Missile Battery. See change notes above.

Standalone Missile Battery Cost
80 Concrete
10 Metal
10 Polymer
5 Electronic
1 Machine Part
1 Rare Metal – Why – Raytheon Charges Non NASA Mission Sponsors for this tech.

Rover Cost = Free with first Missile Battery see notes below.
Rovers only protect an area when they are Idle. While moving they cannot target anything.

Check out my NASA Mission Sponsor for more cool tech and a Rare Metal free version of the Missile System. If you use this Mod along with the NASA Sponsor you can get a total of 10 rovers. (Mod Config Configurable)

Developer Notes

How it came to be was through my desire to have both a Standalone Missile Battery and a Mobile Missile Platform.
Both of these are included in the base game and come from the Marsgate Mystery. I did not develop the entities. The standalone Battery was easy to expose, the Mobile Rover was a big pain, since Haemimont did not intend to make this rover playable outside the Marsgate Mystery.
The Missile Defense Rovers have been tuned to be very accurate against meteors.

How it works and how to get the Rovers

There is no building the rovers. You get the rovers when you build your first Missile Defense Battery.
They are orbiting the planet in satellites waiting to be deployed.
Once you build your first Missile Battery they deploy just like how the NASA Mars Pathfinder Rover landed.
They will land in one of four positions in the following order. The hex under, the hex over, the hex left of or the hex right of the missile battery.
The choice depends upon free space for a landing zone. Rovers will not deploy into a dome.
So if you build it next to a dome, you dont need to worry, just make sure there is 1.5 hexes open surrounding the battery.
If there is no space anyware near the battery, they deploy randomly on the map in a playable landing zone.

This mod uses the new Mod Config Reborn giving you the ability to change some parameters.
Mod Config Reborn is here > Mod Config Reborn

Due to the re-write, reclaimed Marsgate rovers will not have the same functions as the Patriot Missile Defense System rovers.
Reclaimed Marsgate rovers will just be lame against meteors until Haemimont updates their code.

Marsgate Warning

This new version automatically detects Marsgate being played and adjusts settings for you. (Resettable in Mod Config)

Thank you to all the folks that beta’ed the code before I released it, especially user RDR99.
Really really big thank you to modder ChoGGi for which a good chunk of code around the dust devils would not be possible.
Credits for his ideas whether direct, or just inspirational are noted in the code files where applicable.

Lastly a Big thank you to Haemimont Dev IVAN, for pointing me in the right direction. Without that initial insight from Ivan I would not have done this mod.
