Cipher’s Courtier Expansion – A Text-Based RPG (ALPHA version 1.5 – Pirate Update)
WARNING: This a massive fan expansion to the "Play as Courtier" mod, a old mod that was used as a foundation for this mod. (Does not require to download it first)
Compatibility: Any mod that is a full overhaul
Resume: Welcome to my Courtier Expansion mod, a text based rpg experience where you get to play as a landless courtier, after deciding to quit the monarchy or as you are about to lose your last holding. You can travel the word, convert to local customs, bring your dynasty new glory, join the spanish reconquistas as a englishman, join the viking raids as a ex-jewish kazhar, bring the culture of china to the hre as a travelling han soldier.
Features from mod its based on:
– Become a courtier (Has been totaly overhauled)
– Travel from main title to title belonging serving dukes or kings or emperors (The traveling mechanic has been
modified)
– Find a job (Even tho now you may gain rewarded promotions for increasing stats and futurly will have job specific events.)
New features:
– Abillity to toogle raiding even without owning lands.
– Whole new army massing mechanic for landless rulers…. If you can afford the pay you can fund a army to your liking (moeny equals quality)
– Three new pilgrimage-like decisions (Go hunting, visit lieges capital, travel country-side (very incomplete) with a bunch of options and will always be adding more and more and moreeeee
– A courtier casus belli for one non capital province in the world (not very realistic but you do get harsh punishment for non earned territory)
– Travelling events (only three wish to add more)
-Jobs have their own respective traits
-Ability to send letters, futurely will allow special actions on top of opinion modifying
Future Features:
– Alot more decisions to give the life of a courtier thematic events depending on where in the world you are
– More interraction events with other characters (Planned assasinations, spend family time, teaching youngster, go traveling togheter, invite to x)
– More events according to job chosen as all jobs feel the same
– Correction of localization
Recommendations: Use the mod as a reinforcer to normal games if you like roleplaying, or to play from the lowest rank possible! This mod is even great if you dont plan to you use it because it doesnt affect much landed rulers. Play as a christian feudal or as a tribal as those have the most "Flavor" or add this to any full overhaul mod like guardians of azeroth or game of thrones as they are compatible.
