The Alchemist Class Mod

"The flesh is fluid! It can be changed, reshaped, remade!"

The Alchemist is a group project mod that adds a brand new hero to Darkest Dungeon. This hero is completely custom, with all new sprites, skills, sounds, and animations, as well as a complete set of unique trinkets and color palettes.

The Alchemist specializes in draining the life from her opponents to channel into her allies, equally capable of healing or inflicting damage and debuffs. As she deals damage, so does her healing output grow stronger, making her a flexible combatant. Her unique summon abilities, the Homunculus and the Lab Rat, are capable of providing additional support via either guarding her allies or ravaging her enemies.

Her research and many experiments have rewarded her with great restorative abilities that can be further empowered through offensive action. In addition, she is accompanied by her lab-grown assistants that fiercely protect her, and whoever she calls an ally."

Rupture

The Alchemist’s arm sends its sharpened bone flying, forcefully puncturing her foes.

Standard melee attack. Slight armor piercing. Buffs healing done by Infusion.

Decay

OOOX XOOO
The Alchemist bombards her enemies with caustic spit from her eldritch appendage.

Ranged attack. Low damage. Applies strong blight on hit. Debuffs enemy damage. Buffs healing done by Infusion.

Blood Decoction

OOOO
The Alchemist feeds a healing agent to her arm, which gathers blood to augment its effects.

Small self heal and mark. Activates riposte. Riposte deals low damage, bleeds on hit, and buffs healing done by Infusion.

Infusion

OOOO
The Alchemist calls upon her arm’s power to repair wounds.

Smallish heal on target. Buffed by other skills.

Putrefaction

XOOX OOOO
The Alchemist’s arm spews a corrosive gas at her enemies, dissolving cadavers, burning flesh, and forming healing agents.

Only works vs corpses. Destroys a targeted corpse. Heals allies for a percentage of their HP. Debuffs all remaining enemies for damage received.

Algernon

XOOX O+O+O+O
The Alchemist calls upon her trusty lab rat to harry her enemies.

Cooldown 3. Small damage and high bleed chance. Spawns Lab Rat if a slot is available. Lab Rat will debuff, bleed or blight enemies. Despawns after 3 turns, at the end of combat, or if only one enemy remains.

Homunculus

The Alchemist hurls a potion at her enemies, and a faithful homunculus servant is formed.

Cooldown 3. Small damage, high crit. Spawns Homunculus if a slot is available. Homunculus will guard the hero with the lowest HP remaining. Always has riposte active. Homunculus heals itself every turn. Despawns after 3 turns, at the end of combat, or if only one enemy remains.

Unknown Concoctions

Time Cost: 2
The Alchemist prepares specialty brews for her companions.

Usable twice. Generates 1 of 4 potions. Potions have a variety of buffs and debuffs, and are available as provisions from the inventory on quest completion.

Forbidden Knowledge

Time Cost: 3
The Alchemist shares a morsel of her findings with her companions.

Buff allies for +15% blight and bleed skill chance. 50% chance to deal 7 stress.

Animated Sentinels

Time Cost: 4
The Alchemist reanimates nearby corpses to stand guard.

Prevents nighttime ambush. +10% scouting chance. All teammates take 5 stress, and have a 50% chance for another 5 if religious.

Abyssal Research

Time Cost: 2
The Alchemist examines ancient, esoteric tomes by the fire’s light.

Self buff for +15% healing done, and another +15% if HP is below 50%.

• The Alchemist is not religious.
• She uses the Athenaeum district.
• Her default name is Morgan.
• On crit, she buffs herself for +25% healing done.
• This mod comes with 13 class specific trinkets for Alchemist, including for CC, COM, and Sunward Isles.
• The mod includes Protean and Immutable as new quirks that buff/debuff the heals received from Infusion.
• She has a town event so you can get one immediately.
