Module 1: Stats and Bugs Fixed – 1/2

Description:

Finally, after dozens of hours of work, testing and bugs hunting, I’m glad I can share with you my mod, which I called AoC – Community Units Patch, in short – CUP. I looked into and verified many units stats, found many bugs and tried to fix them, so that why I called it patch.

I checked all units from 350 in Age of Charlemagne DLC, where I fixed or adjusted more then 260 units. This is final version of mod, so all factions, mercenaries and generic units are finished.

I divided my mod (patch) into two parts for more modular build and to more flexible choice for players:

  • Stats and Bugs Fixed – 1/2 (standalone module) – fixes bugs and sets most important adjustments without impact on gameplay itself – for example this module fixes bugs with wrong weapon assigned, bugs with wrong cavalry mounts, wrong units mass assigned etc.
  • Additional Tweaks – 2/2 (requires module 1) – additional adjustments and improvements for totally minimal gameplay impact – for example this part standardizes statistics for cavalry units when dismounted, adds more typical attributes like Disciplined for good units, makes better Accuracy standardization and much more…

Important: mod doesn’t change core units statistics or any battle mechanics, only fixes units bugs and add more adjustments, so in final doesn’t change gameplay, just repair game.

Key features:

Module Stats and Bugs Fixed – 1/2 – features:

  • land and naval units affected (patched)
  • bugs fixes and most important adjustments only (as a result I hope so AI will be better too, because bugs elimination – for example like spear unit assigned as melee infantry, not as spear unit)
  • no more stupid bugs like units with axes got swords assigned
  • fixes for units armour to corresponding with units cards and skins (visual look)
  • missing attributes like Disciplined or Encourage added (specially for Generals)
  • wrong attributes like Expert Charge Defense removed (for example for units with dagger weapon)
  • bugs with wrong assign for units classes, mass, attributes, speed, tiers and much more fixed (like for example very light unit with medium unit speed and mass)
  • fixes for cavalry mounts (added few missing mounts – horses) and fixes for Accuracy (like added 5 Accuracy for artillery units – was 0, 20 Accuracy for slinger units – was 0) – in short, no more ranged units with 0 Accuracy or missing reload statistic
  • fixes for units description titles (like very light units as light), wrong animations or voice-over assigned
  • and much more (see patch notes) – LINK

Module Additional Tweaks – 2/2 – features:

  • land and naval units affected (patched)
  • changes for units equipment (like for example added heavy Spatha weapon for very good elite (3 tier) units, where was Spatha only)
  • makes little more cultural diversity vanilla units (like Saxon cultures naval units got Seax weapon, not Spatha – a bigger surprise is that they actually had Seax weapon in hands in unit skin)
  • much more standardization (adjustments) for example:
    • adjusts statistics for cavalry units when dismounted – it’s now like 75% of Melee Attack for all cavalry units, 40% of Charge for Melee/Missile cavalry or 20% of Charge for Shock cavalry when dismounted (many cavalry units when dismounted were as good as mounted stance – few even better)
    • more typical attributes (like for example adds Resistant to Fatigue for all cavalry units from very light to medium or same for melee infantry from very light to medium – still depended from armour, equipment etc. or for very good 2 tier units adds Disciplined attribute)
    • more units mass standardization (doesn’t change mass system itself, only units assign)
    • more reasonable units speed adjustments (doesn’t change speed system itself, only units assign)
    • better standardization for "training level"
    • better balance with maximum 2 units types per factions with Encourage attribute (for example Kingdom of Asturias got 3, when rest only 2)
    • Accuracy standardization like 5 Accuracy for artillery units, 15 for javelin missile units, 20 for slinger missile units, 25 for bow missile units or 10 for melee units with javelins and 20 for melee units with bows
  • fixes from mod AoC – Danes Generals Stats Fixed are included in this mod (you don’t need that mod, if you use this module)
  • and much more (see patch notes) – LINK

Compatibility:
  • mod designed for Age of Charlemagne DLC
  • save game compatibility (you don’t have to start new game)
  • you can use that mod with all mods that don’t change same features (or load my mod after them in Mod Manger) – for example it’s compatible with Age of Vikings, AoC Factions Pack, Faction Unlock for AoC, Age of Charlemagne: Byzantine Empire, AoC Byzantine Expedition (Theme of Sicily), AoC Campaign Enhanced, AoC Unique Units Expansion, AoC Bodyguards Expansion, Pater Europae mods
