Firepower Overhaul Pt 2 (Fantasy Weapons)
Hello once again. It’s your favorite talentless hack, bringing you yet another amazing product of my own insanity.
Have you ever wondered why horse archers and archer chariots suck so much? Are you tired of using 20 stacks of Black Orcs because all orcish ranged options suck? Do you never use dorf bolt throwers or think that the default fire mode for knife-ear bolt throwers is useless? Do you use my other ranged combat overhaul and think that it’s just unfair that the GRUNGI DAMNED elves can’t defend themselves against your glorious guns?
If you answered yes to one or more of these, then by Throgg’s enormous BUTT-BEARD, have I got a product for you!
- Improved statlines: Range, damage, accuracy, and/or reload values changed for all bows, crossbows, slings, blowpipes, dinosaur, and thrown weapons.
- Better non-modern artillery: Bone giants fire volleys for extra DOOT. The luminark doesn’t take 50 years to charge another shot. Bolt throwers of all varieties are harder to dodge and pack a punch with single shot mode. Catapult, trebuchet, and cygor rocks make a bigger splash. You get the picture.
- Improved breath attacks: Dragons spew death from further away and over a larger area.
- More ammunition: Ammunition counts have been increased across the board to reflect what one would see in actual quivers, bullet bags, bolt racks, and stone stockpiles (with some mind paid to balance, of course).
- Move lizard rock drop from Impactful magic to here(Soon™)
- Add fire modes to various bow units (Soon™)
- Add ammo replenishment skills to some/all factions (Soon™)
- Actually do the work needed for the melee overhaul, merge all three parts, integrate submods. (Long term goal)
Save game compatible, can be added and removed mid-campaign.
Should be compatible with damn near anything. Will likely break the (lack of) balance in major overhauls if used with them, assuming my tables have higher load priority. If not, this will probably do nothing when used with SFO and the like.

Furthermore, I’ve released updated versions of the Glory Mod rebalanced to the tune of the work done on Firepower so far. Melee unit rebalancing will have to wait until part 3 is completed and all parts are merged. The unit packs can be found in the link below.
