No Building Autoconversion – Anti Snowball
Normally, when capturing a foreign settlement, many existing buildings are mysteriously transformed into a building of the occupying faction. So a Dark Elf torture building or a Vampire Crypt transforms into an Imperial Stable or a Forge in an instant. With this mod, most buildings are destroyed without replacement or compensation when capturing a settlement previously held by a different race.
The autoconversion in the vanilla game supports rapid expansion, because conquered regions become immediately useful and productive and can even be used for recruitment. There is no downside to rapid expansion because every new region immediately boosts your income.
With this mod, unless the settlement you occupy was held by a faction belonging to your own culture, all buildings except the main settlement building, the port or any resource building are destroyed. They are replaced by a ruin that needs to be demolished before constructing new buildings.
Affects both player and AI. The effect on AI can be disabled if the MCT is used (Mod Configuration Tool by vandy).
The mod is compatible with everything but NOT savegame-compatible. May not work in Multiplayer.
