Chimera Squad Version as of: 5/21/20

This mod adds the sharpshooter that aided in Venom Snake’s quest for revenge, Quiet, as an agent of Chimera Squad. It’s better to ask less questions about how these characters came here or just come up with some new lore or something. She’s an aggressive sharpshooter that has a tendency of racking up critical hit chances. She’s able to pick off targets from further range than other agents.

She has the following perks at each rank:

  • Recruit
    • Precision Shot: Take a shot with +20 aim and +15% crit chance. 3 Turn Cooldown.
    • Agile Butterfly: On the first movement of a round, gain +15% crit chance and 10% dodge.
  • Deputy Agent
    • Parasite Exchange: Breaching Action. For X turns, all units at this breach point gain +20% crit chance and +3 Critical Damage, but receives 20% more damage from all hits. Quiet gains +5 aim and +10% crit chance for every unit that carries this ability. Lasts for 3 turns. One use per mission.
  • Field Agent (Requires Marskman Challenge training)
    • Back In!: Reloading the weapon gives Quiet +15% more damage for the rest of the round.
    • Low Profile: Makes partial cover count as full.
  • Special Agent
    • Surgical Deadeye: Take a shot with a -25% Aim penalty that converts the first +4 points of damage into rupture damage on hit. If the shot kills the target, refund 1 Action Point(s) for Quiet. 4 turn cooldown.
    • NOTE: Second Chance does not trigger when this ability is activated for balance reasons.
  • Senior Agent
    • Second Chance: If the next shot misses, gain 1 Action Point(s) back. 2 turn cooldown.
    • Lucky Bullet: If the next shot crits, return 1 bullet(s) back to the magazine.
  • Principal Agent (Requires Refresh training)
    • Wicked Butterfly: Banish with the Annihilate perk. Fire at a target until Quiet runs out of ammo. If the target dies, cycle to the next target with the highest HP. One use per mission.
    • NOTE: Second Chance, Lucky Bullet, and Refresh do not trigger when this ability is activated for balance reasons.

New Training Programs:

  • Refresh Training: Gain the ability Refresh: Killing a target reduces a random ability’s cooldown by 1.

KNOWN ISSUES
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
  • Quiet by default takes over Shelter’s spot in the locker. Whomever loads first will be the one that sits there, which is kinda annoying but there’s not much we can do to change this behavior. You can still select promotions and view stats however.
  • Wicked Butterfly’s visualization breaks when Quiet needs to turn 90 degrees to another target. Cinematic Rapid Fire for XCom 2 fixed that issue. So we’d need to wait until that mod is ported to Chimera Squad. Otherwise the ability works as intended.

FUTURE FEATURES
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
  • Fix some bugs, if any.
  • More recruitable agents.

COMPATIBILITY (meaning that it works with these mods!)
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
  • It should be compatible with all mods except for mods that add new agents that uses Shelther’s locker. It’s annoying to deal with but you should still be able to pick promotions and see stats.

Question
Answer
Is it safe to add this mod in the middle of a campaign?
Yes! You can add it mid campaign with little to no issues. The agent can be recruited at any point of the campaign if you’re lucky enough.
XCom 2 Version?
We’ll see.
I use Shelter though! How do I move this agent to another locker spot?
You need to edit this mod’s XComClassData.ini and change DefaultHeadquartersAreaTag to another location.
I don’t like that profile pic for X reasons. Change it!
Sure but it’s coming out of your pocket.
I want Quiet’s OG outfit!
Read this mod’s SPOILER.txt file for instructions on getting the OG uniform.
