Description:

Hello there! Welcome to our complete rename sub mod for the OvN Lost Factions!
Made with permission from the Lost Faction maker, shaky_rivers.

In case unsure what the OvN Lost Factions mod do, they basically make you able to play as Araby, Halflings, Albion and so much more!

This mod is aimed at improving the overall names of the factions in-game. Changing both the starting names and adding new names to gain as you play after specific requirements are met to better reflect your ever-growing domain. All set to fit the lore of Warhammer!

THREE name changes added for every single faction in the game. Specifically made for each.
FOUR, if include their new starting name. (some of them)

This mod is seen as a community mod. Meaning an ever-changing mod, based on feedback and ideas from you all. So please, if you feel any of the names could be made better, or downright suck, let us know in the comments below!

The mod only changes the files related to names in the Lost Factions mods. The original mods are still needed. All credits to Shaky and his mod!

CURRENT FEATURES:

  • Deeper lore-friendly startup and culture/race names.
  • Big list of new names per race in Mortal Empires. With multiple per faction.

FUTURE PLANS:

  • Expanded mod script.
  • More evolving names added to the Vortex campaign as well.

NAMES NOT CHANGING OR SHOWING UP AS BLANK?
Make sure you have the mods loaded in the right order.

1. This submod.
2. Main Lore Names mod.
3. The rest of the OvN mods.

If still issue with the names, let us know in the mod comments which faction and what name level the issue where for, then we will get it sorted out! 🙂

GAME CRASHING?
Please do try to do a test run with only this mod, and the main Lore Names and OvN mods active and see if the issue still there. If not, then the issue is one of the other mods you’re using.

Recommended to also try with only this submod and our main Lore Names mod active (not the other OvN mods too) and see if the issue is still there. If not, then the issue lays in with the main OvN mods.

ISSUE STILL THERE?
If the issue is still there when just having our mods active, do let us know in mod comments and we will look into it! 🙂 Please be as detailed as possible. So easier for us to get it solved quickly. Thank you.

MOD SORTING ORDER?
VERY important this submod is listed ABOVE any of the other required mods! Both the main Lore Names mod, and the Lost Factions mods.

WHAT YOU MEAN WITH EVOLVING NAMES?

  • By evolving names, we mean that a faction name will change over time, based on how large or small they are.

    ENC:
    Evolving
    Name
    Changes

Current ways faction names can be changed by:
-Taking over a pre-set list of provinces.
-Owning X amount of regions in total.
-Faction leader getting up to rank X.

    For example,
When starting a new campaign as for example Grimgor. Your name at the start of the campaign will be Da’ ArdBoyz.
But, once you’ve taken over the entire provinces of Southern Badlands; Blightwater; Eastern Badlands; Western Badlands and Death Pass, your name will change. It will then change into Da Great WAAAGH!

And this no matter if you take those provinces in turn 24, 154 or later. It’s all set to the provinces you own. Not turned based. It is, in essence, a progressive name change to reflect the player’s dominion.

Your name will also change two more times as you continue to expand as Grimgor. To read more about those, head over to the Greenskins changes above! 🙂

WHERE DO I SEE ALL OF THE NEW NAMES ADDED?

  • To see the current lists of additions click the faction names in the tablets above.

COMPATABILITY?

  • The mod manager might say the mod is made in an outdated version. But it will still work perfectly fine. It’s save game compatible and works with both SFO and 99% of any other mods.
