Android Tiers – Gynoids [1.2]

A gynoid is anything that resembles or pertains to the female human form. Though the term android has been used to refer to robotic humanoids regardless of apparent gender, the Greek prefix "andr-" refers to man in the masculine gendered sense. Because of this prefix, Android can be read as referring specifically to male-styled robots.

Adds a 50% chance for all T1-T5 androids to spawn as the female gender with as well as a feminine shaped chassis.

Differences from Gynoids [1.1]: Added a specific name list for female androids.

This is an add-on mod for Android Tiers by Atlas as such place Gynoids after it in the load order.

This is an edit of Verrigan Holme’s Gynoid mod to get it to work with 1.2. I have also taken the liberty to add a name list for the female robots, males will still pull from the namlist provided in the original mod. I went ahead and patched the previous versions as well with these edits but they are untested.

For the name list I took the one from the AT mod and replaced the masculine names with similar if not direct feminine versions of the names. This should keep the balance from the original.

I’ve never made a Rimworld mod, I don’t even know what language this is.. still. I’m not really even sure how this operates to be honest, but it has all the contents of the previous versions so it should work with version 1.0 up.

Below is a list of problems Verrigan had and any that I run into. As stated in the previous mod, this is "functional," not flawless.

1.0 issues:

• Males will sometimes spawn with Female heads and/or bodies and vice versa.

1.1 issues:

• Androids will spawn as either Male or Female appropriately, but, in my testing, I’ve found that only Male androids can be built. I have no idea why, nor do I know how to fix it.
  EDIT: This is caused by a reference error in the original Android Tiers mod. Working on a fix.
• T5 androids won’t use the proper clothing sprites to fit their Hulking frames. This is also an issue in the base mod.

1.2 issues:

• Androids built in Casket will spawn as Male due to a reference error in the original AT mod. EDIT: This has been addressed in Discord. Waiting for fix.

  • Androids built in Casket will spawn as either gender but will only pull from male name list.

  Inform me of any errors and I’ll do what I can to make these files mimic Atlas’ mod to fix any bugs. I’m very out of my element and I highly suggest petitioning Atlas to incorporate this into the base mod, perhaps a toggle option if nothing else.
