Description:

WIP – This mod is not complete! – Not Ironman Compatible

THIS MOD IS DISCONTINUED

I’m sorry for letting you all down, but due to unforeseen circumstances in RL, I have to discontinue my work on this mod for a potentially long time. This statement is to not leading people on, that this will be updated.
My internal version is further ahead, with a WIP CK2 style holding view and event window but it’s obviously not done

This project aims to start a complete UI overhaul that tries to imitate the UI design of CK2 and attempts to raise immersion across the board.

Changes
Major
  • Added the CK2-inspired Topbar
  • Moved the tab buttons from the right to the top left like old CK2
  • Moved the maintabs to the left
  • Moved the bottom-right infobars to the top right
  • Reintroduced portrait-frames
  • Complete Overhaul of the death screen and changing the text ("You are Dead"=> "Succession", "Played"-> "Ruled")
  • Overhauled Army/Unit Interface and slimmed down Combat window
Minor
  • Now displaying Opinion of Liege to the selected Character and vice-versa in the Character Window
  • The size of the status icons was increased and the positions are optimized (Coat-of-Arms is now on the top-left so it doesn’t obstruct the title-rank
  • The Court-Tab in the Character Window now uses the Character-Finder format -> Advanced Filters are not working right now!
  • The lifestyle button is moved to a, hopefully, more recognizable position
  • Reduced map-clutter in War, by removing the Holding information under the banner while only in War, aswell as changing the rally points to stick on the banner rather than on the side.
  • Rally points are a bit smaller and *should* be placed more centrally by the game.
  • The Unit information widget is now *at* the unit rather than on the side of the holding banner and the diplomatic icons above the CoA of the unit were removed.
  • Changed the Letter Events to be more immersive, by making the main text use the same font as the title, and adding a black-glow to make the text "muddier" and not look so clean.
  • Personal Scheme progress are now displayed in the top left
Current Problems/Bugs
  1. The Character Portrait in the top-left is not completely clickable
  2. The Character Top-Bar is displayed in the Dynasty Tree window and the Lifestyle Window, which is not intended. While it doesn’t pose a big gameplay problem in the Dynasty Tree Window, it obstructed the view in the Lifestyle Window which was changed to accommodate this.
  3. The filter button in the court tab in the character window doesn’t work and the filter bar is not displayed
  4. Several windows when opened (like Title History) are partially behind the opened screen, but movable
  5. Probably a lot of clipping problems

Future Plans
  • Slim down and move all of the Tab-Windows to the left side. [Done]
  • Overhaul of the Army/Unit Window and Combat Window [Done]
  • Overhaul of the County Window
  • Add Immersion in various UI Elements
  • Overhaul the Event Window (Trying to add the possibility of Events that display pictures with the character portrait frames, like old CK2 – Only as an option for modders who want their event to be displayed this way)

Miscellaneous Information

I might not always have the time to update this mod and this might be discontinued -> You are all free to use any files and assets of this mod, you don’t even have to credit me but of course it would be nice.

I used assets from CK2 that were upscaled by AI, so if any Paradox Devs are reading and this counts as copyright infringement, then please contact me.
