Innea: A Fantasy World
This update fills in the eastern continents of Orea and Emea, adding 800ish provinces and a lot more nations as well as cultures, great projects, religions along with unique ideas for each culture.
This update fills in the southern continent of Astrea, adding 1000+ provinces and 100+ nations. This update also reworks institutions, ages and adds over 100+ great projects.
This update fills out the western half of the continent of Innea, adding over 1000 provinces and 200+ new nations along with new religions, cultures and ideas. A few events have been added to the Halmskr region so that it functions similar to Japan in base EU4. 5 new terrain types have been added. Initial work has been done on the terrain map to make it look more visually pleasing.
Populated the map with 16 new trade goods (2 more created that are to be used for yet to be created provinces).
This update expands the scale of the world substantially by adding over 1000 provinces and 100 new nations along with new religions, cultures, and ideas for the new countries. Several game systems have also been reworked/added to. Most notably is the idea groups have been slightly overhauled (largely buffs) with 2 new idea groups for adm/mil and 3 for dip since exploration has been removed along with new policies for all the new idea groups. Notably Naval ideas has been given a new casus belli when you complete the idea group. Government Ranks and Centres of Trade have also been changed with new tiers added. I have also changed the base development cost and how good the colonist is at increasing the development of a province to make increasing development more of a process that takes time instead of saving mana and pressing a button. The primary purpose of colonists now is to sit in provinces to increase their development rather than colonizing new provinces. Some localisation is still missing that will be added in eventually.
Innea is a world that my brother and I have imagined for over 10 years. Starting as a university project I decided to try and bring this world to life in EU4. It is currently still in early stages with just a portion of the world implemented and is as of this moment a one man modding project.
Currently it features the eastern half of the continent of Innea:
– 7 new idea groups along with their policies
– ~3500 land provinces
– 50+ new religions
– 20+ new trade goods
– 70+ tradenodes
– 10+ new terrain types
– 400+ cultures
– 400+ idea sets
– 600+ nations
– expanded and reworked government ranks, centres of trade
– reworked institutions and ages
I have not yet decided what exactly to work on next.
As of yet, the mod should be mostly functional without any dlcs but I haven’t tested it nor will I try and make the compatible. I plan on changing up all sorts of mechanics in the future and will likely touch content from most if not all dlcs eventually.
Feel free to leave comments and I will try to address any issues found but have no promises. Feedback, especially about balancing of ideas and other modifier related things is appreciated, my goal isn’t to have the game meaningfully balanced but I am definitely experimenting around with modifier values and would like to avoid one thing being much stronger than all the rest or ones that are completely useless. There is also a subreddit where you can post any posts related to the mod. I encourage you to post there, especially if you have longer feedback/bug posts.
