Wood Elves Enhanced – Updated!
This mod adds a better Total War and Warhammer fantasy aspect to the Wood Elves by increasing the upgradable levels of major and minor outposts and implanenting new buildings/mechanics that improves and prolongs the campaign.
I made this mod because the vanilla Wood Elves campaign felt underwhelming with outposts only being upgradable to level 1, which makes the gameplay outside the Wood Elf realm dull and where you only rush from settlement to settlement to get their amber bonus since there is no real possibility to improve and strategically upgrade them.
– Major Settlements can be upgraded to level 5 and Minor Settlements can be upgraded to level 4
– Unique Wood Elves outpost design.
– 8 new and unique buildings added to outposts
– New dynamic and progressive World Root campaign mechanic and commandments added.
– 7 new technology nodes added
– A lot of small changes
– Amber building chain generates amber and counteracts the amber loss from upgrading the settlement.
—– Upgrading a Major Settlement to level 4 and 5 costs amber.
—– Upgrading a Minor Settlement to level 3 and 4 costs amber.
Tier 4 and 5 version of the Amber building costs growth points, but gives a bigger amber bonus. This is an experiment to make the campaign more lore-friendly and immersive without making it easier.
– Worldroot building chain improves your Worldroot system and indirectly improves your commandments (notice i have not added it to wood elves settlements inside athel loren, instead upgrading those settlements gives you the same effect as this building chain)
– Wythel gives a small bonus to gold gained per turn and small bonus to growth per turn.
– Ironwood gives a sizeable bonus to gold gained per turn while negatively affecting growth and public order.
– Elderwood which gives a huge bonus to growth and public order per turn.
– Forest Dragon Roost which adds 2 Forrest Dragon.
– Treemen’s Court which adds 2 Treemen.
– Temple of Korneus boost local armies armbush chance and reduces your enemies, while giving a bonus to corruption protection.
– Temple of Asyryan improves your ranged units when defending the settlement, while giving a bonus to corruption protection.
– Temple of Isha improves the melee defense of units when defending the settlement, reduces enemy agent succes chance, while giving bonus to corruption.
