The VL10u (ru: ВЛ10y) is an electric two-unit mainline DC freight locomotive used in the Soviet Union and is still operated today. It’s a weighted modification of the VL10 electric locomotive (produced until 1977) for driving heavier freight trains.One of the most common DC electric locomotives in the former Soviet Union.
