Description:

There are two direct land trade routes from Cathay to the Empire: The Silver Road and Peak Pass. This is kind of an issue, since the passes are usually teeming with Greenskins. So, if the forces of Order control all the regions (see the screenshots) for at least one route, you’ll some bonuses when playing as the Empire or Bretonnia.

If the Empire, Dwarfs or High Elves fully control at least one pass you get a bonus to trade and research rate since the trade passes freely, and access to a new trade resource: silk.
If Greenskins or Chaos control both passes you get a penalty to trade.
Otherwise it’s the vanilla game state: trade is possible and you get a very small bonus to trade.

Races like the Skaven, Vampire Counts and the rest value trade and will allow it for their own benefit, but won’t provide the necessary conditions for it to flourish, so I don’t consider them a positive or negative influence.

This applies to the player when playing as any of the Empire or Bretonnia factions (minus Markus Wulfhart). Doesn’t do anything for the Dwarfs since it’d be too easy to get for them, I may add a smaller effect for them in the future.

This is a script mod, so compatible with everything, and can be added and removed in existing saves.
Works in multiplayer.
