Top rated and the most comprehensive gameplay mod in Civilization VI! Adds multiple new game modes, overhauls, and fixes most irrationalities in Vanilla. Makes Civilization VI great again!
Introduction

In Vanilla, city with large population is meaningless. Crazy expansion of new cities (Wide play) with very few citizens is believed as the best strategy to win deity difficulty. The most important goal of this mod is to let you pay your attention back to the development of city population by encouraging Tall play. Now you will find that ‘population is everything’.
GoldenAge also emphasizes the fun of urban planning. You will get super huge bonus when you place the same type of elements together. For example, same districts from different cities (make a triangle or rhombus) will give you huge district adjacency bonus. You will also receive huge production bonus when you put mines or lumber mills together. I am pretty sure that you will love the new urban planning system.
The last aim of GoldenAge is to make the game more interesting. This is accomplished by breaking the traditional way of gameplay. A lot of new mechanics and rules have been added. Moreover, all civilizations and leaders have been reworked to highlight the characteristics of each civilization.
Overall, this mod acts like an official expansion patch (Rise & Fall and Gathering Storm) but definitely more than that. You will have a whole new game experience playing with this mod! Let’s build a great empire with GoldenAge – Brave New World and have One More Turn!!

New Features (Game Modes)

a) Crazy-Expansion Penalty and City upgrade: Crazy-Expansion Penalty is a yield penalty that increases with the total number of cities you own, and can be mitigated when Guildhall and city population reach specific level. All cities receive a new internal building – Guildhall (Village) once they are established. Guildhall can be upgraded by city expansion projects: Village – Town – County – City – Metropolis.

b) Megalopolis and National wonders: Plan your city and design district placement carefully!
c) Building expansion:More options for buildings in specialty districts.

Overhaul and tweak

d) More population bonus and Taller happiness levels
e) Difficulty: AIs become more powerful by cheating on yields per citizen, which also progressively increase with game era. You will no longer feel bored because you exceed AI by far.
f) Governors overhauled.

g) Governments and Policies overhauled
h) Religions and Pantheons overhauled
i) Civilizations and Leaders overhauled
j) Warfare: Unit counter relationship, Sight of Units, Unit promotion trees overhauled.
k) Buildings and Districts overhauled
l) Terrains and Features overhauled
m) Resources and Improvements overhauled

Compatibility

Fully compatible with the latest game version!!
RISE & FALL and GATHERING STORM Expansions are required!
Other DLCs are not required. But I would highly recommend you playing this mod under full DLCs environment to achieve the best game experience.

GoldAge has been divided into multiple components (modularization) using the advanced game setting and game mode function. Thus, GoldenAge is compatible with all mods in the Workshop community, but only when you disable the corresponding components conflicting with the mods you are using. I would recommend you check “Database.log” and “Modding.log” at …My GamesSid Meier’s Civilization VILogs and search “error” to make sure you are clear.

The mod has been tested before being uploaded. In case of problems, please make sure these problems do not come from other mods before reporting. Bug report and suggestions for improvement are welcome.

Credits

GoldenAge has been developed for two years with more than 240 versions. I am trying to consider all possible factors to make the game more interesting. I believe complete overhaul and reformation are necessary to reach the final goal. That’s why I put so many small pieces of changes together.
