The Stargazer Class Mod

"The space between worlds is no place for mortal men…"

The Stargazer is an all new class mod for Darkest Dungeon. He is a frail but powerful damage dealer, an astronomer who has been touched by an unfathomable astral force, granting him abilities that can only be described as magic. By tapping into this force, he opens himself to phenomenal cosmic power, which can possess him, body and soul, tearing away at his psyche. As a result, one is never fully in control of the Stargazer’s actions, and if pushed too far, he may lose control. He has fully original assets, including sprites, animations, and sounds.

"Imbued with cosmic forces beyond his comprehension, the Stargazer bends space and time to his will, flinging his enemies across the battlefield with volatile energy some would call magic. His true strength is beyond his understanding, however, and he is never fully in control of his own actions."

Note: When the Stargazer reaches 100 stress, he will always become Refracted. This has many of the negatives of other afflictions, but also greatly increases his Speed, Dodge and damage, as well as occasionally having positive effects such as healing or buffing himself.

Flux

The Stargazer blasts his opponent with arcane force.

Good damage. Knockback 1. Chance to become Transcendent.

Conjunction

XOOO
The Stargazer binds himself to an ally with star-born magic.

Heals himself and an ally. Guards ally but also forces guard. Dodge buff to both. Chance to become Transcendent.

Enlightenment

OOXX
The Stargazer opens an ally’s mind to the arcane.

High chance to stress heal. On next two friendly skills, ally will heal stress.

Singularity

OOOX XOOO
The Stargazer opens a black hole, wreaking havoc on an enemy’s very being.

Medium damage. Usable in both forms. Destealths. In Pensive mode, pulls forward 2. In Transcendent mode, extra crit chance and strong stun. Chance to switch to the other mode.

Void Manifestation

OOOX OOOO
The Stargazer conjures a beam from the heavens, obliterating anything in its path.

Very high damage and crit. Chance to self stun. High chance of switching to Pensive form.

Call From Beyond

OOXX O+O+O+O
The Stargazer opens a rift in space, invoking the destructive power of the cosmos.

Good damage. Armor piercing. Breaks guard. Clears corpses. Applies Stumble to all enemies. Chance to switch to Pensive.

Lucidity

OOOO
The Stargazer’s mind closes to the wonders of the universe, relinquishing some of his strength to regain his sanity.

Self stress heal. Switch back to Pensive. Continue turn.

Chart The Skies

Time Cost: 3
The Stargazer observes the stars above, mapping the region and indulging in his profession.

Heals self 15 stress. +15% scout chance.

Astral Projection

Time Cost: 3
The Stargazer departs his physical form.

-20% stress, and another -20% if Transcendent. +15% stress if afflicted.

Arcane Insight

Time Cost: 2
The Stargazer performs research into dark and maddening subjects, deepening his knowledge of the mystic arts.

+10 stress. +5% crit chance at 25, 50, and 75 stress, and if Afflicted.

Esoterica

Time Cost: 3
The Stargazer imparts his knowledge to his allies, deepening their knowledge.

All allies ignore stealth. One ally gets +100% resolve XP.

• The Stargazer is not religious.
• He uses the Athenaeum.
• His default name is Tycho.
• On crit, he buffs his dodge slightly and has a high chance to apply a Stumble to the target.
• This mod comes with 10 class specific trinkets for the Stargazer, including Crimson Court, COM, and Sunward Isles.
• He has a town event so you can get one immediately.
• He has three alternate palettes.
