Welcome to the second mod of my "Grand Order of the Reiksguard" series. This mod adds a new flying unit to the Empire faction. As always I hope you have fun with the new unit and enjoy using it but feel free to leave constructive feedback so i know what’s good and where things could or should be improved 🙂

1. General Description:

This mod adds another unit to the Empire’s Reiksguard Order:

Reiksguard Griffon Knights

"The Reiksguard’s answer to the growing threats around the Empire. The newly formed griffonrider regiment strikes fear in the hearts of the Emperor’s enemies, when their mighty war griffons descend upon them."[[/i]

Pros:

  • Griffons
  • Great mobility
  • Forcefull impact when landing
  • Devastating area attacks against infantry

Cons:

  • Small regiment size because taming griffons is a long and expensive process
  • Vulnerable if left alone or focused by the enemy
  • High recruitment and maintenance costs as griffons are difficult to tame and keep.

Recruitment:
They can be recruited at Castle Reikguard in Altdorf or any Reiksfort after building an armoury (rank 2).

Their base stats are as follows:

      • +35% Physical Resistance
      • +35% Missile Resistance
    • Stats:
      • Ultra Unit Size: 6
      • Cap: No Cap
      • HP: 6246
      • Armour: 120 (Shielded 35%)
      • Leadership: 90
      • Speed: 90
      • Melee Attack: 60
      • Melee Defense: 41
      • Weapon Strength: 146 (61 normal + 85 AP / area attack against up to 10 targets)
      • Charge Bonus: 65
    • Costs:
      • Cost: 2000
      • Upkeep: 525
    • Attributes:
      • Causes Fear
      • Causes Terror
    3. Technology and Skills:

    The unit is fully integrated into existing technologies and lord skills. They will benefit from the following skills and technologies:

    • Technology:
      • Improved Cavalry Armour
      • Endurance Training
      • Blinkers
      • The Inner Circle
      • Warhorse Breeding
    • Lord Skills:
      • Imperial Special Forces (Karl Franz)
      • Speed of Horse 1/2/3 (All Lords)
      • Taste for Battle (All Lords)
    • Buildings:
      • Castle Reiksguard
