SY1000
This is my first ever attempt to mod a vehicle to this game. Thanks to all guides and authors in W&R Community!
I created this mod for early steam locomotive for my personal use and decided to share. Since there is not many options for early train engines for custom start dates.
Note: this is not a realistic representation of an actual historic model, but resembles to SY1000 or SY 0652. The SY 2-8-2’s were the smallest of the three major standard class of steam locomotives in modern China. They were used heavily in industry and mining and were well liked amongst crews for their easy operation and maintenance. Many survived well into the 2000’s and used in industry and mining and some are still in use.
As the original model Author of the model mentions "…last steam locomotive built in the world. Purchased from China by the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad, a local tourist railroad in my home town"
I did not make an original model. Original credic goes to sketchup user "ddufon" in 3d warehouse. I imported and adapted it for the game. I used original game textures to do texture mappings, learning how to do them myself in free time.

Stats might not be correct – made with default soviet train for early starts:

Known issues:
– Some faces on the model might not have textures or have a flat colour (now should be fixed)
– One face is missing on one side of modified
smokebox. You don’t notice it much. Might be a glitch happening when converting into game file (now should be fixed)
– On the tight turns, locomotive position might be a little bit offset
– Valve gears and pistons are static.
– Work in progress!
Mod update: small tweaks to tenter model and engine to be more in correct scale. Some geometry tweaks.
