Welcome to the Warhammer II version of my mod "Dismounted Knights of the Blazing Sun". This mod adds a new dismounted regiment for the Knights of the Blazing Sun wearing a shield aswell as a burning sword. As always I hope you have fun with the new unit and enjoy using it but feel free to leave constructive feedback so i know what’s good and where things could or should be improved 🙂

1. General Description:

This mod adds a new unit to the Order of the Blazing Sun:

Dismounted Knights of the Blazing Sun

"The Order of the Blazing Sun is a famous Knightly Order of the Empire which follows the war goddess Myrmidia. The Order is currently based in Talabheim. Knights of the Blazing Sun are arguably the greatest knights in the Empire. Favored by Myrmidia, many warriors are able to set their weapons ablaze with immolating fire, slaying their enemies for the Goddess of War."[[/i]

Pros:

  • Flaming swords for extra damage
  • Great defense due to their full plate armour and shields
  • Superb moral due to their discipline, excellent training and acompanying officer

Cons:

  • Can only be recruited at their chapterhouse in Talabheim
  • Vulnerable to armour piercing weapons
  • High costs and upkeep because they need expensive equipment and training

Recruitment:
They can be recruited at the Chapterhouse of the Blazing Sun in Talabheim. Like their mounted brothers in arms they also require an armoury (rank 2).

They can be recruited by the following factions:

  • The Empire
  • The Golden Order
  • The Huntmarshal’s Expedition

2. Base Stats:

Their base stats are as follows:

  • Stats:
    • Ultra Unit Size: 120
    • Cap: No Cap
    • HP: 8280
    • Armour: 120
    • Leadership: 80
    • Speed: 30
    • Melee Attack: 39 (Flaminng Attacks)
    • Melee Defense: 45
    • Weapon Strength: 37 (28 normal + 9 AP)
    • Charge Bonus: 18
  • Costs:
    • Cost: 1350
    • Upkeep: 345
  • Attributes:
    • Hide in forests
    • Encourage
    • Immunity to Psychology
3. Technology and Skills:

The unit is fully integrated into existing technologies and lord skills. They will benefit from the following skills and technologies:

  • Technology:
    • State Troop Standards
    • State-Issued Infantry Armour
    • Improved Heavy Weapons
    • State-Issued Weapons
    • Local Militia
  • Lord Skills:
    • Best of the Empire (Karl Franz)
    • Imperial Special Forces (Karl Franz)
    • Emperor’s Finest 1/2/3 (All Lords)
    • Strength of Hardship (All Lords)
