The Military Orders of Bretonnia by Remake (Reupload)
Remake’s The Military Orders of Bretonnia updated for the latest patch and reuploaded. Some typos and missing effects were fixed, a few abilities rebalanced, the lore of light was removed from paladins and the building overhaul had to be reverted, the rest is identical. I am not the creator of the original mod and it has been broken for almost a year, so we cannot be completely sure that everything is working as it used to. If you find something that’s off please let us know in the comments section. Refer to the original mod for screenshots and additional information.
Special thanks to Housie for helping with updating and testing the mod as well as motivating me, without him it probably would’ve stayed broken for a whole lot longer.

The Order System
There are seven Military Orders; 3 basic and 4 elite. The order system is how the orders and their units become available throughout the campaign and how their unit caps increase. They each have their own lord that has a new skill tree that buffs their units in addition to having the vanilla skills.
Basic Orders
- Knights of the Fleur de Lys
- Knights of White
- Knights of the grove
The basic military orders are found in their building chains in major settlements. Once you choose an order, the other options will be locked out in that settlement.
The new units are locked behind a dynamic unit cap that increases with each order building you construct. The first tier basic order keep will give you one knight infantry, 2 order men-at-arms spearmen and two swordsmen. The next tier will give you one cavalry unit, one mounted yeomen, and will unlock the order’s Chapter Master, which is capped at three.
With every new settlement you conquer, you can add to an existing order’s ranks or start another order.
Elite Orders
- The Knights of the Ardens – Knights of the Ardens Stronghold
- Knights of the Enchantress tower – Tower of the Enchantress
- Knights of Mont Morceaux – Tier 4 Morceaux Vineyards
- Dragon Knights of Couronne – Tournament Grounds
The Elite Orders are found in the landmark buildings throughout Bretonnia. Each landmark will give you 2 knight infantry, 2 knight cavalry, 4 men-at-arms spearmen and 4 swordsmen, 2 yeomen, and will unlock the order’s Chapter Master.
In order to increase their unit caps, you will have to construct the elite order building chain, similar to the basic orders, in one of the special settlements found throughout the campaign map. These settlements are usually faction/race capitols or places of interest. Once you construct one of the 4 elite order building chains, you will be locked out of building any of the other three in that settlement.
These building will increases the unit cap of the order units by 1 infantry, 1 cavalry, 4 men-at-arms spearmen and 4 swordsmen, and 2 mounted yeomen.
Chapter Masters
The Chapter Masters are unique lords found at the highest tier order buildings. Once you construct one of these buildings, the lords will become available and you can recruit a maximum of 3.
Each lord has a unique trait and a new skill tree that buffs its orders units. Aside from these additions, they are similar to vanilla Bretonnian lords.
Non-order infantry units.
- Hedge Knights – tier 3 barracks, tier 1 smithy
- House Hold Knights – tier 4 barracks, tier 2 smithy
- Grey Mountain Rangers – tier 4 barracks, tier 1 smithy
These units start with a cap of 2 and their unit cap is increased by 1 for every tier of smithy you construct.
- Knights of the Hollow – Hollows of the Forgotten Knights in Mousillon
- The King’s Guard – Peaks of Parravon
- Gafland le Gris – The Grail Cathedral
These units have a hard cap of 1 per campaign.

– Helped to design unit stats and abilities, consulted on unit appearance and fluff text.
– Designed the building, chivalry, garrison, and tech overhaul with little changes done by myself.

– Wrote the Lord module, including scripting and database tables. All I had to do was make the textures for each lord. Without him, there would be no Chapter Masters.
