Hide Stats Evolved
This mod makes player stats visible according to your access levels and alliances! Works in Single Player and Multiplayer!
It affects information display in: Diplomacy Ribbon, Diplomacy Action Viewer, Global Resources Popup, Leader icon and tooltip, Religion Screen, Civics/Tech Tree, World Ranking and World Congress Popup.
The game visibility levels are None (0), Limited (1), Open (2), Secret (3) and Top Secret (4). Does not affect the AI or savegames, it’s a UI mod.
The conditions to access a player’s information are the following:
– Basic info (number of owned cities, population, recruited Great People, Wonders): meet the player.
– Economic (gold, favor, tradable resources): visibility lvl 1 / be at peace or be able to make a peace deal. If using the Expanded Alliances mod, you can also be in an Industrial / Urban / Maritime alliance.
– Diplomatic (diplomatic points): visibility lvl 1 / be in any Alliance.
– Cultural (culture, tourism, civics tree leader icon): visibility lvl 2 / be in a Cultural Alliance. To get the required number of visitors for cultural victory, you must be able to access the cultural information of all players.
– Religious (converted cities and civilizations, religious followers, faith): visibility lvl 2 / be in a Religious Alliance.
– Scientific (science, technologies, scientific victory advancement, tech tree leader icons): visibility lvl 3 / be in a Research Alliance.
– Military (captured capitals, military strength): visibility lvl 4 / be in a Military Alliance. If using the Expanded Alliances mod, you can also be in an Espionage alliance.
– Score (global score, era score, Great People points): visibility lvl 4 / be in a Military Alliance. If using the Expanded Alliances mod, you can also be in an Espionage alliance.
Notes:
– The "Listening Post" mission is now useful!
– Unrevealed cities are not included when displaying the majority religion of a civilization (and followers / filtered cities if using Better Religion Window). Calculation is smart and works on the minimum information you need to draw conclusion: for example, if a player has 5 cities and information on 3 of them is available, and all those 3 are converted to your religion, the mod will consider this civilization converted even with this incomplete information.
– If religious stats are available, the number of converted cities/followers is automatically adjusted and values displayed as ranges.
– If there is an information gap of at most 1 level, most values (culture/tech yield, military strengh, etc.) are displayed within a [-25%,+25%] range.
– The number of captured capitals is displayed as a range according to the fog of war and military stats availability.
– In the Global Resource Popup, the resources of a player appear only if you have access to economic information.
– In the World Rankings, the victory progress of a player appears as zero if the relevant information cannot be accessed. The access level of team stats (in multiplayer) is the lowest access level out of all players of the team.
– If a capital of a player is unrevealed and military info cannot be accessed, an exclamation icon replaces the star.
If you are using Greatest Cities:
– Only revealed cities or cities that have "score" access are shown.
– For revealed cities, scores only include information that can be accessed.
– All options related to unrevealed cities / wonders are permanently disabled.
– Included a fix for "NaN" errors when cities are damaged.
Customization of information hiding: if you want to change the thresholds for information masking, (de)activate icon randomization in the civics/tech tree, etc., you can edit the values in ..Steamsteamappsworkshopcontent2890702423591440SupportHSE_config.lua
