Description:

My second finished park in Planet Coaster after Kestrel Park! I’ve used builds from the workshop for the fairground style vendors and games, the art deco buildings, and for most of the flat rides. All of the coasters are custom except Runo’s Wilde Maus, and the hotel in the back is custom. These parks take me long enough as it is, so if I didn’t use the workshop I feel like I may never finish a project, hahaha.

With it’s first operating years dating back to 1946, Intracoastal Coaster Park is an amusement park that had humble beginnings as a local fairground, campground, and nature park. After many years of successful short-term operation, a change in ownership would see the park would move to an extended 9 month season and the addition of new permanent attractions, expanded grounds, and renovated spaces to the delight of the the locals. The new investors began by giving the park’s existing rides upgrades, such as reprofiling drops and re-tracking segments of worn track. Over time the park also used land moving projects to their advantage to progress the construction of an amphitheater and hotel at the back of the park. The event space is immediately became popular for it’s location and iconic breaking wave shape. The space is used by local performance groups and is home to Intracoastal Coaster Park’s "Sounds of Summer" concert series as well as many touring perfortming artists.

COASTERS
* THE VILLAIN (Semi-Recreation): Previously loved at the Geauga Lake, "The Villain" roller coaster is an example of a simple out-and-back layout with classically shallow banking and long, drawn-out hills. Moved to IC Park in 2007 and assembled in 2009 with reprofiled hills and banking to offer a smoother ride, The Villain would thrill riders once again and continue to offer a great experience to it’s riders. Ride in Seat View or Guest Facing rotated 180′ to face forward.

* RAMPAGE: Rampage is an airtime machine sure to leave your pockets empty and your hands in the air for more than 10 seconds of floater and ejector airtime. Originally built in the 90’s, Rampage had the shaping of it’s drops and hills reprofiled in 2012, and the ride’s once bland layout full of straight track drops and hills became finely tuned to offer the most drawn out airtime possible including a -1g hill. Ride in Seat View or Look Forward from the last car.

* TIDAL SURGE: Opened in 2017 Tidal Surge was the park’s largest investment at the time and would include creating tunnels under the parks main pathways. It’s extremely forceful layout screams through the park at a blistering pace, weaving it’s way behind the fair rides of the midway. This woodie showcases how the technology of wooden coasters has evolved over the years with it’s ejector airtime, outward banks, nearly vertical drops, and inverted turn. Ride in Track View or Guest Facing turned 180′ on last car.

* SKYWARD RUSH: 2018 was a year that took Intracoastal Coaster Park’s season pass-holder’s by surprise, with the unexpected addition of Skyward Rush just a year after the huge expense of Tidal Surge. Skyward Rush would also by ICP’s first purchase of a steel coaster, and a launched one at that. The photogenic coaster became an instant favorite among visitors for it’s quick experience that keeps a queue under 15minutes because of it’s quick cycle time. Ride in Seat or Chase view.

* STAR CADET: In 2020 a contract with Netflix fueled the creation of the park’s newest land, Aero Academy, and saw the installation of the "Acceletron" flatride and new flagship flying coaster, "Star Cadet". Star Cadet’s theme pulls from the CBS and Netflix show "Final Space" created by Olan Rogers, where riders step into main character Gary Godspeed’s shoes as he tries to fly with a jetpack for the first time. Dive, swoop, and narrowly avoid crashing into the water features as you earn your wings on this mind boggling flying coaster. Star Cadet is now ICP’s most ambitious, detailed, and expensive addition to date. Ride in Guest Facing turned 180′ or Chase View.
