The Two Orders

The two northern orders have also received their deal of content, from missions and ideas, to a new tag and ways to play, including, but not limited to:

  • Orders now stand united! – new events and decisions to unite together
  • The whole new mission tree for Livonian, Teutonic, and Dual Order
  • New tag – Dual Order, with a unique government mechanic to balance the power between the Teutons and Livonians
  • New idea sets for Livonian Order and Kurlandia
  • A dozen new flavour events for a pleasant gameplay

Russia, Ruthenia, or..?

Nor Russian nor Ruthenian nations were left out of the spotlight, also receiving their share of sweet stuff. Maybe now you won’t close your eyes on these eagles of the east.

  • Reworked Time of Troubles, now actually having interesting content, even involving Sweden and Poland
  • A whole new mission trees for Russian, Ukrainian, and Belorussian minors, with a few buffs to ideas
  • Don Cossacks now appear, either as a unique government mechanic, or as a country somewhere late…
  • Brand new culture – cossack, now spreading and waning, which is required to get access to the estate
  • New ways of forming Ruthenia and White Ruthenia – new tag in the region
  • Chmielnicki Uprising disaster and more than 50 new flavourful cossack events
  • Formable Smolensk, so now you can finally make a decent artillery only playthrough

The Tatar Yoke

Tatar hordes have long been overlooked by the developers, but fortunately, we’ve come through to help! All tatar nations received some new stuff, including, but not limited to:

  • New mission tree for all tatar nations, and a unique one for Crimea
  • More than 30 new events for Crimea and other tatars, describing their unique relationship with the world around them
  • Estates for steppe hordes!
  • Brand new government type, raiding mechanic, and subject type for Crimea, faithfully representing its relationship with its overlord of the Ottomans
  • New late-game disaster – Crimean War of Independence, to have something to do after the religious wars

Observers Take Part

Other nations in the region weren’t forgotten about either, receiving their small share of content as well, for example:

  • New formable tag – Habsburg Monarchy, now with a custom idea set
  • New mission tree for Sweden, Denmark, Ottomans, and Georgia
  • New government for Georgia
  • A few flavour events to Hungary, Ryazan, Moldavia, Wallachia, Silesia, Kurlandia, Greece, Ottomans, and Estonia
  • Smaller nations such as Silesia, Kurlandia, Estonia, Romania, Greece, and Zaporozhe, now have more chances to appear in game

Other changes
  • New music with cossack and tatar themes
  • Nerfed the cossack estate privileges (now -5% dev cost in steppes instead of 15%, 25% manpower instead of 100%) and made it so the estate disappears if you have no steppe provinces. Added them as the only estate for Zaporozhe
  • Changed flags of PLC, Georgia and Zaporozhe, and the colour of Zaporozhe
  • Added Plutocracy as a reform for European nations
  • Added siphon income to vassals
  • Added 2 new state edicts
  • Added 4 new monuments
  • Added 2 new centers of trade to the Crimea trade node and 2 to the Kiev trade node
  • Added 9 new government reforms
  • Added new trade node – Caucasus

Known Issues

Because of patch 1.31 onward, some bugs are inevitable and tied to mistakes on Paradox’s side. We are hoping that they fix them as soon as possible, to give you a more pleasant experience. For now, we recommend you to not play ironman and just autosave from time to time.

  • Disasters are bugged and key events don’t pop up sometimes. The issue is on the Paradox’s side, but we’ll try to fix it in the meantime
  • Some events don’t fire or don’t show up properly, reloading the game can help to fix the issue

Final Words

We’ve added quite a few easter eggs and rare content – go forth and find it!
