Tainted Character Alt Names
Gives the Tainted Characters their names from their achievements to make them differ from the base characters, such as Isaac being named "The Broken."
This mod does not change miniboss intro character names, as some tainted names are so long they’d go off the screen, haha.
UPDATE 5/15/2021: The mod has been updated! All text has been replaced with nicer text that looks more accurate to the other title screen/character select text.
UPDATE 5/19/2021: This mod now includes alt names for the boss fight splash screens, go crazy!
THIS DOES REPLACE PLAYERS.XML THOUGH, SO BE WARY OF ANY OTHER MODS THAT MAY INTERACT WITH IT!
UPDATE 11/15/2021: This mod should work now with the new Repentance update.
UPDATE 3/22/2022: This should work with the latest update now… I think. Let me know if it doesn’t.
Huge thanks to Jalisky, who gave a hand in creating some sprites for the boss cutscene names and showing how to modify the players.xml file to use them! Wouldn’t be possible without ’em.
NOTE: While I could change the miniboss character names, if I were to do so, some of them would just extend off of the screen due to names being too long. It’s why I have refrained from doing so. If people REALLY want it regardless though, I could upload it as a separate mod.
