Description:

This is a continuation of the Convert Holdings mod because the original author, Kurthakon, passed away. My aim is to preserve the content, add fixes if needed and keep it compatible to the current game version.

This mod is a utility mod which allows to convert any of your existing holdings to what ever holding type you desire: Castle, City, or Temple.

How do you convert the holdings?
There are three minor decisions for each holding type. You pick the decision for the holding type you want. Then you can select through the interface which holding you want to convert.

However, there are a few minor requirements which you must satisfy before you can convert a holding.

Requirements

You must pay the base gold cost for what it would cost you to build a new castle. It should be 600 gold, unless it scales.
You obviously can’t choose to convert a holding to the same holding type.
Only holdings that are in counties your character personally hold are eligible for conversion.
Holdings with active constructions are not eligible.
If you convert a temple holding you may have to wait until your realm priest relinquishes the holding automatically.
Despite what the Select Holding window may tell you, you can in fact select a county capital. Just ignore what it tells you.

After you have converted the holdings you want, you can disable the mod until the next time you need it.

This mod cannot change the de-jure capital of a county or duchy. It cannot change the amount of building slots that a holding got. The extra county capital building slot and the duchy building capital slot cannot be altered in-game.

Mod Compatibility

Should be compatible with pretty much all mods, including of course Cities of Wonders 2.

Yes, you should in theory be able to convert a Metropolis holding to whatever other holding type you want. Convert Holdings will not however allow you to freely convert to a Metropolis holding or any other mod added holding type.

A .zip file for direct download can be found attached to my thread at the Paradox Forums[forum.paradoxplaza.com]

Convert Holdings will disable achievements! Nearly every mod for Crusader Kings 3 will disable achievements.
